Why don't you want free supplements?

I'm confused.

We've got a competition running at the moment where you could win $50 worth of supplements each week until the end of October. All you have to do is build us a workout, and you could end the week $50 better off.

And yet this week, only one person has entered. So far, he's a guaranteed winner.

Even if 10 of you enter, you still stand a 1 in 10 chance of winning. And it's 1 in 5 if you enter twice. Those are pretty good odds!

And the more you enter, the better your odds. If it were me, I'd be posting up my favourite workout routines en masse. Even searching other websites for good workout routines - it doesn't matter where they come from.

So what's the deal? Why's no-one entering? Don't you like free supplements?

quality over quanity

We spent a bit of time thinking about this one. In the end, we couldn't work out a way to compare the relative worth of a beginner bodybuilding workout, versus an advanced powerlifting workout. So we went with random selection. It means anyone can win, which is nice. :)

Fear of Favouritism?

You think I might be rigging the draw? I hope that's not what people think. Here's how I'm doing it... I've built a page that grabs all the workouts posted in a certain week, and lists them as anonymous links in a random order. Then I randomly select one of those randomly-ordered links, and we have our winner. (The only exception is if I pick someone's who's just made a half-arsed entry, and then I'll draw again.)

You can try it yourself with last week's workout list.

Maybee up the prize worth of the supps to $100 would guarantee a few more entries.

I take your point. Although we're actually giving away $300 worth of supplements, and there are 6 chances to win your share. You might win $50. You might win $150. Technically it would be possible for one person to win the lot (although if that happened, even I'd be questioning whether it was rigged! :pfft: )

Oh, and NZMM... exaggeration much?! Think of it as a $50 discount on your next order then. I sure wouldn't say no to that.

Is the $50 for a NZ supplement website?

That would be enough for 1 protein bar from those rip off merchants.

Not worth my time I'm afraid.

f*ck mate, $50 is $50. Not all of us can wipe our arses on $100 bills. If you don't want it, I'll be happy to take it off your hands.
