Im going to Rythm and Vines over New YEars, gonna be away a week or so.

Im currently cutting so im ripped (hopefully :D) By RnV.

In the week or so leading up to RnV do you reckon I should carb deplet/try to get all the water out of my body? Because RnV is a whole week (there abouts) i'll be drinking a f*ck load of water during that time

Oh, and carbs too...I mean, i'll likely be eating them everyday

So what do you reckon? Just get to as low a bodyfat percentage before RnV, and maybe restrict carbs back a lil bit at RnV so I dont put on any additional water weight?

Opinions??

Yeah thats true.

I've heard you can put on about 400mls of water weight per 100gs of extra carbs you consume, so if I low carb it the week until rnv then eat a couple decent sized carb meals a day, i'll put on a lil water weight right?

Am I being to pesimistic? haha

Do you really think it's a good idea to carb/water deplete before a week long party?

You've got heaps of time, just get to a bf level you're happy with all the time instead of having to complicate things and increase the risks for yourself to look the way you want. You'd be better off just dropping the extra 1% bf or so that carb/water depleting would make you look like.

after a bodybuilding show yes you put on a lot of water/fat/lean body mass. my weight went up about 12kg after a few days.

Do the carb deplete I reckon.. My energy levels are far better without carbs than with  After the first 2-3 days anyway.

You have more energy without carbs?

How does that work?

Personally yes I do. I know plenty of people who feel the same on low carb diets. I don't get the highs and lows as with carbs, just consistent energy levels. Always woke up feeling mint on low carbs too.

Although mentally its a bit different after a couple of weeks.

it doesn't.

Have you done low carb at maintenance calories? Because Im sure that if your low on cals, doing extra cardio and still lifting for contest prep you're gonna feel shit regardless of carbs

Have done. Yes fats increased hugely. Not sure exactly, probably around 400p/30c/180f. Wouldn't see any point in him going under maintenance just to drop water weight.

I don't do it now, but I found the same thing as holdenman - consistent stable energy throughout the day. Also when I used to carb cycle, my best workouts were always "no carb days"

thats because your high carb day is the day before and they say you feel how you ate the day before. eg if you eat no carbs today you will feel small and flat tomorrow. if you eat heaps of carbs today, you will feel big and full tomorrow

carbs are your bodies main source of energy

no carbs = energy = lol
