Low test dose to cut

Recommended Posts

Heya Fellas

Will 250mg Test per week be enough to maintain muscle mass while cutting cals significantly and doing 30-45 cardio per day.

I'm on prescript test(about 2 years now), so not worried about suppresion.

40years old, 5 foot 7 and holding about 17-18% bodyfat, just want to get that back down to around 10. Currently 196lbs

Not wanting to use to much gear, just enough to hold muscle.

Any advice or opinions are really appreciated to help me out here.

Thnaks guys

250mg is good for that.

The average guy makes roughly 70mg test per week. You'll be getting a bit less than 250mg of Test per week if you take the ester weight into account, but this still works out to more than what the average guy produces per week.

You'll be fine I think. How much have you been HRTing on?

I'm on 125mg weekly.

How much test or other would i need to take to be able to half my caloric intake without losing muscle mass??

Is this impossible or what.

Diet would be largly protein with fats, zero to very little carbs.

Feedback greatly appreciated

You use testosterone to increase protein synthesis not to hold muscle mass in a calorie deficit diet although there would be some small benefit in doing this. If you want to hold or gain lean muscle mass you need to apply the principles of the BBer diet/nutrition in with your training but you need to eat food at least 5-6 times daily carbs/protein in each meal. There is lots of information on this site about doing that.

Me thinks you should write a book on using gear

Thanks musclenz, seems like your the knowledge in these parts.

Is there another compound that is more for holding muscle than protein synthesis that i could add to the test, mabey deca, var, just looking for mild compounds. I also have epistane in the cupboard from a couple years back if that will be any advantage.

I'll still be training 4 days per week plus cardio

Once again, many thanks for feedback
