Thanks for all your feedback guys. It's still only just sinking in how far I've come in the last two years. & if I could just inspire & motivate ONE person to get into shape I'd be a pretty happy chick! But I know of many that are trying to follow in my footsteps so I'm OVER THE MOON! \:D/

How tall are you??

I'm 5'10" :D

With two years of hard work & determination I made it to my goal of competing in a body building competition!

Starting weight 125kgs 01 August 2009

Competition weight 64kgs 10 September 2011

I competed in my first competition on 10th Sep 2011 at the Nelson Top of the South Show & had a fun time.

With the FANTASTIC support and guidance from my trainer Shane Elsey, who really knows his stuff about EVERYTHING! Also I have to give a HUGE thanks to the AWESOME team at Fitness Canterbury in Christchurch who also helped me achieve my goals.

So if you hear someone who says they can't do it, show them these photos and tell them they can!

The reason I started off on my weight loss journey is because of my Son, a hugely active little man who has me wrapped around his little finger. I didn't want to be a sideline Mum unable to keep up with my little guy, I wanted to be able to run around with him and play the rough & tumble games that you're supposed to with kids.

Finally when I woke up to myself & finally realised that something needed to change & needed to change NOW, that I scouted around the gyms in Christchurch and finally decided on Fitness Canterbury. That was the biggest & best decision I made because (not to blow their trumpet too much) they have the best & most supportive staff that I have EVER seen in a gym. EVERY other gym that I have been a member of I have NEVER been treated as a person, I've always felt like another number that is forking over loads of MONEY. They actually took notice of me & supported me every step of the way. The biggest challenge I had to over come was getting the HEAD sorted I was suffering from Post Natal Depression & incredibly low self esteem & I have my first PT Ryan Campbell to thank for getting me over this HUGE hurdle. He stuck it out & put up with all my excuses & session cancellations, I thought he was going to write me off & tell me to sod off. But I am truly THANKFUL that he did not & got me through that barrier & got me to put myself FIRST & not feel selfish for doing it.

Then after Ryan left the country for his OE came Shane Elsey, & his world of knowledge in nutrition & training brought me up to where I am now. So through hard work, determination & clean eating I am where I am now. With many more goals set for 2012 & even long term goals set for 2013! \:D/

So for the past two years I've been on a low carb, high protein diet with the one lovely cheat meal a week. Been taking on & off over that time Ripped Freak Fat Burners & religiously  seeing a PT twice sometimes three times a week WITHOUT FAIL! Being accountable to someone other than family is what has kept me HONEST with myself & to my training.

So I don't want to hear from anyone "I CAN'T DO IT!" :naughty: Because I KNOW for a fact YOU CAN DO IT! I have proven that if you get yourself into the right mindset with the right support & guidance you CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO!
