ive been doing the 5x5 program for about 6 weeks and have had good gains in all my lifts but progress on my bench and rows has stalled a bit in the last couple of weeks but still getting good gains on my squat and deadlift. so i've decided to try dorian yates' blood and guts Chest and Biceps workout (episode 1) to try and break through my benching plateau but keep up with the 5x5 program on my squat and deadlift days. is this ok or will this be counter-productive? cheers

I don't see why it would be counter-productive? You're doing what you should be, changing things up. Am I missing something?

Edit: If its because Dorian Yates only has 1 working set exercises and you've just come from 5x5. Then no that could be just what you need.

I am currently doing the Dorian Yates Blood and Guts on my chest. I've increased 20kgs in about 4 months on my bench, after a plateau also.
