I think this would vary for different people. Some people would have a faster metabolism and so would be at a lower percentage while still making the same gains etc. The normal range would be about 12-15% I would assume. Some would get fatter because they would eat so much and some wouldn't be at that so they wouldn't have to diet so hard when it comes to competition time.

It's all trial and error, so just train and eat how you normally do, and if you're making noticeable gains then it doesn't matter. I wouldn't worry about how much fat you do or do not put on as long as you come into competition looking as best as you can. That's my opinion, and I don't have a whole lot of experience sooooo over to the bigger guys.

i guess you gotta eat big to get big, fat can come off, etcetcetc

This is where a lot of guys do fail though imo. Not you but people have become so obsessed with being the biggest they look like overweight circus attractions for 2 thirds of the year. Eating right is the key , you should be able to grow while still be able to rip off your shirt and flex those abs at any time of the year. They may aswell get into powerlifting :pfft:

And if they get to such a high fat percentage, surely they're gonna loose a bit more muscle getting ripped than say someone who doesn't get above 12-15% bf. Right?

not really it just means you need to give yourself more time to diet then someone who is about 12%

For natural guys I would say stay in better condition, you will drop muscle when you diet so try not to make it that hard to get in shape. Bit different for guys who are gassing but even then the more succesful guys don't just get fat. They get big sure and puffy and water retented but not fat 15-20% bf fat!

No one admits to being any more than 15% any way Harry :pfft:

 :shifty: :pfft:

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha so true... just like most don't admit to being gassed ha ha ha ha

Should I be more cynical when I see someone saying "I'm a 14% natty brah"! :pfft:
