Hi evosys2, can you confirm the routine time (60 or 90secs) for the Auckland Comp at the end of August? Looking at the Nabba/wff website it said 60sec if big competitor numbers and I'm thinking this show will be big! Thanks :D

Hi Monty

Yes we are holding at 60 seconds to be fair, rather than informing some competitors it is 90 secs then disappointing on the day if the music is cut.

The exception is the MS Fitness in the WFF CATEGORIES of the show which will be 90 secs.

Feel free to chat via facebook Monty as you are part of our friends chat group, or next time I see you on I'll holler.

The format will remain as WFF CLASSES 1ST followed by NABBA classes after the intermission.

This will be another sellout show so it is advised that everyone grab their tickets early.

Wish I could be there for it but you know what they say about the best laid plans.

Congrats on the show guys, I'm sure Nats will go off as well.

Mark Reed NABBA Physique

Lesley Rothera WFF Ms Athletic

A good quality show, heres how I saw it:

Soundsgood more than held his own against Mark in the overalls, probably the closest guy sizewise to Mark in the show with insane legs.

Great future in the sport for such a young guy! His legs are so large they get wows from the crowd when he walked out but his upperbody looked really thick as well.

Garth in physique also looked great with great symmetry and proportions, he posed well and compared well to Mark in many of the mandatories.

Phil K in over 50's was shredded and dry, amazing conditioning for anybody of any age!

Mark Dryer and Brian Macfarlane had a great battle in the over 40's physique

with Mark continuing to look really dry and striated whilst Brian looked sharp with his excellent proportions and balance.

Tom looked huge and dry in Athletic and Chris Gooch also came in looking great with fantastic legs and was selected for the National Team to travel abroad.

All in all a welll run show.

Good post bro. Personally, I think SG should have won because Mark's upper body just looked too fat from the photos I saw but his legs were in a bit better condition. All the judges preference though. Looks like it was a good show!

I think as a Judge its hard not to compare improvements made from qualifying shows, especially when these guys did so within a few months. When I saw Mark at the Pans I thought he was massive and cut but his waist was thick in proportion to the rest of his physique making him look a lot shjorter than he really is. When you look at him at Nationals he has done a lot to pull this in and appears to be more symetrical - legs as a result don't look undersized. If you compare Mark to some of the NZ Pros from the other feds he would probably give them some serious competition.

Agree with comments re SG - great alround physique - would be great to see thickness matched with legs in upper body without too much more waist added. This will happen with time for sure ... unstoppable once you achieve this mate - perfect shape and height for the sport and good stage presence.

I have no doubt about that. But by my judgement on these photos, his waist looks like Jay Cutler's, but he doesn't have Cutler's mass.
