Sinking those squats MT, 1st reps looking really strong  Looks like you may just be losing a bit of tightness on the 2nd reps? A bit more focus and they should fly up just like the 1st reps

Pretty darn slow night don't fancy getting to the gym after 6 I find I just cbf and things just feel harder than they should be.

Bench was ok no where near Tuesdays speed, Deads were slow didn't feel right at all couldn't hook grip anything so had to switch grip it which doesn't feel normal anymore so got up to my top sets before Wa comes over and says "well no wonder it's hard your using the fat bar!" :doh1:

So switched to a normal sized bar and they felt much better. Still not great and nothing to be proud of but hey job done.

Oh and to top it off Li ripped me off on my half chicken and wedges I swear when we made eye contact he telepathically asked " MT.....lift do you even?"

Much of the same throughout the whole week comfortable with higher numbers but tech work was UGLY. Knees wobbling in and out in the hole had my tech work corner man Beast helping me out there thanks Mike!

Bench was alright 140 triple felt pretty strong so thought i'd have a shot at 150 = pb that went up nicely the 1st time again had some tech advices tried it out and grinded a slow 150 again bum lifted off so no lift there.

Little annoyed at how the week has gone from a technical perspective i'll be working on this next week for deload speed and perfection is my main goal.

150 raw bench is still a big lift MT  Strength is good, as you said just work on the tech a bit and things will be flying

Thanks brah  I think it's more elbows than anything else so when I can find the sweet spot for them I should be getting over that 150 barrier in no time.

That was about it tonight nothing more until comp day. Clocked up an easy 2+ hours of walking today the main reason being I want to keep the cals high while i'm not doing any lifting without having to worry about weight. Coasting around 102 as of today but can never be sure.

Also tried on my 1st Bench shirt today thanks to Calc for leading his 48 fury I believe got it on relitively easily so OB got me into a couple of his 46's and they were pretty snug so idea is to work on some heavy suited Bench next week see whatI get out of the 48 and if it's anything over 160 to touch then i'll grab that. Also teaing up with Zane to try his Squat suit on for size and take it from there, exciting times can't wait to see what I get out of a shirt.

Well what an interesting day MT had today. I set my self 2 simple goals for this comp get 9/9 and PB in Bench. I was sooo agonisingly close had I not lifted my arse on that last Bench I would have achieved both goals man that was annoying. I say today was interesting because stop reading if you are squeemish but I got little sleep last night due to having a severe case of the shits :puke: up until as I write this I have not been able to hold anything down so to feel strong and nail almost all my lifts with no energy in me was a small feat in itself and even now body feels great guts not so much. Cancelled plans I had made tonight to rest and shake this damn thing

Squats were terrible warming up was getting a bit worried tbh of holding things in and knees were sore didn't bode well. All these numbers btw were pre written for me by the great OB1 and I must say looking at them I was left thinking how is this goingo to happen??? opened low 170 sunk it good felt great knew 180 was there soon as I unracked the onlyh unknown was 192.5 unracked that and again knew I had it locked in. Very weird feeling that is I've struggled on 160 more than this weight just felt smooth stance was in close (last min change) smart move probably had another 5kg in there but sticking to the numbers paid off.

Bench much the same warm ups were slow and uncomfortable soon as I got on the platform it all came together 2nd lift heel raised a bit so el presidente gave me a red, which had me thinking about the on the 3rd and nailed 150 with relitvie ease but didn't realize my but had come off so reds and no lift, real gutted about that as that was the best 150 paused had felt in ages and stuffed up my 9/9 goal.

Deads were the big unknown here I remember my last dead session being 215 I think and feeling very heavy kept my warm ups short knowing I had f all in the tank but all lifts felt very nice maybe another 5kg in there also. Was tempted to go 255 to equal my last comp score which was equipped but again stuck to the paper and made them pretty.

Thanks to OB and Ruth for putting on a great show once again and OB for the Sheiko program worked a treat. Spotter loaders had their work cut out cheers D, Quig, TFB, TMQ and others. Going to bed now go the ABS.

Jeepers - you did well to come out so strong with the squits like that overnight..would have dehydrated you, taken out electrolytes n stuff.

I agree - your squats looked strong, and that bench was good, but the butt-lift got seen :( - and the deads, yep, you might have had a little left- but then maybe grip would have gone or something - this way, three whites for your top deadlift and a massive raw PB.

Well done :salute:

Awesome results MT! Especially considering your, err...situation

A block of raw training's done you well, do you think there'd be a PB wrapped squat there now too?

192.5-www Raw PB

Man if I knew you'd done that, I'd have tried a sneaky 195 today :pfft:
