Really shouldn't have come in today. Reckon I got about 4 hours quality sleep last night so nothing felt recovered very tired and tight all over. Thought I could punch through it but pulled the plug after squats, Live to fight another day.

Something about volume and MT that just doesn't mix well. Last night training tired I tweaked my infamous left should or front delt and today doing chins it escalated quickly into a sharp pain that made tonight very very difficult to finish. Typical timing right in the middle of a high vol prog something craps out and slows me down. Hope to get it sorted soon day or 2 off bench and give it another crack.

Still playing it safe and not going over board with the shoulder. Had a good long warm up and stretch before benching, cut out the chins which helped. Decreased the ROM from unrack to starting position by moving up the bench a bit and didn't have any issues. 10x3 tomorrow so hope I can pull that off and last day of squats for the week also.

  • Good ease into the week tonight. Much better kicking off with 6x2 instead of last weeks 6x5 then finishing 6x6 really hammered me. Squats were very wide today felt good during warm ups so played around with it and stuck to it with working sets and although they were not fast they felt steady and deep so i'd like to keep it there for the rest of week and see how that goes.
  • Bench felt great also. Was worried about doing some chins so kept them very breif, no issues with the shoulder came up so very happy with that hope the worse is behind me.
  • Oh did this yesterday with the day off. The red path is roughly where we walked from my house (Cuba St) the hilly way to Owhiro Bay and after discovering there are no bus services the long walk back through Owhiro Bay/ Happy Valley and Brooklyn before finally making it back home 3 hours later.:freaks:

Good to hear the shoulder's still coping with the volume of smolov as well.

Yeah stuffed up the 1st set and did an extra rep by accident.

Shoulders ok, needs alot of warming up and "numbing" before pushing.

Good hard fought battle today. That should have been alot easier than it was but the fatigue is getting to me now. Didn't fail or anything just hard as the sets went on. Had big rests inbetween sets up to 3-5 minutes not sure if that worked for or against me as I usually like to bang them out alot faster than that. Gone be sore tomorrow.

Really unimpressed with todays squats. Body was not having a bar of it what so ever, should have been a walk in the park. Very tight from Thursday I think and lack of mob so punished the legs with some paused squats inbetween db flies.

Bench felt pretty good however even with dropping alot of water weight it's still holding well with all the fatigue that has been clocking up. Had some good tips from Dark Knight which helped mainly tucking the shoulders back in more and bringing in the elbows and not flaring out so much. All small adjustments that I will work on.Last Bench session tomorrow before deload and a wee test.

Goal for next week is more mob and active recovery.

Awesome session broheims. Squats were easy no belt tonight smashed them out. Walk outs were good too felt nice having 240 on the back raw, would like to keep doing these most weeks get used to the higher weights come CDs.

Bench started off ok then getting a bit tired as they went on. Brett had a hand on a couple of the 3 reps but it was th 30th that I couldn't get up at all soo close to completing this cycle with no failed reps too!!!. Ah well deload then test.

Squats were pretty weird today felt very good just not used to chain work. Thought they were prettytough even at 140 (180 incl chains) wasn't until Drizzt showed up and adjusted them for me. Essentially I wasn't deloading until I got depth where the idea is to deload as soon as you descend. Once we made the changes felt much easier managed to work up to a 180 (220 w chains) haven't been there in a while or ever I think raw? Slight imbalance issues came into light which I already knew I have. Would like to keep these up didn't have to do squats just wanted to be right for next week without getting too over worked.

Assistance was pretty standard very hot in welly made for a good sweaty sesh.

Bench test after a good deload went well. 140 FLEW up so thought i'd take a big jump to 150, that didn't fly up but did feel good in the hands. Bum came off the bench a tad I noticed and it was a touch and go rep, still happy to be where I was at my peak just before Nats last year in just over 4 weeks. Squats after that were pretty hard not sure if I had recovered from Saturdays mission under the bar or the bench just tuckered me out so kept the reps to the prescribed list and didn't go over like I have been. Bit of assistance work to sweat it out and prep body for heavy squats.

Not entirely sure how I was supposed to do 190 3x3 raw but gave it a shot anyway and failed. Well did 2 reps and decided to wrap up, once I did it felt much better and quite easy tbh got quite a bit out of wraps which was great having not used them all year was surprised I still knew how to wraps. Had some side spotters on hand just incase but each set felt pretty tidy, good speed out of the hole my only concern was chest coming forward a bit and losing tightness all the way through. Thanks Iscariot and Dark Knight for the spots. Quick light bench and back for some more squats after a bit of a rest, 140 went up ok. Pretty tired at this point.

Still working the back and the odd arm workout thrown in there for good measure.

Yeah that was a s*#t one today, wasn't going to log but did have a story to share. Did do so some squats but pulled out at 100k right knee wasn't feeling too flash and didn't want to push through it. So jumped on the platform and attempted to dead. Wasn't really happenning either. Haven't touched deads much this year and 200 felt pretty heavy. So if that wasn't hard enough some TOOL comes in to do lat pulldowns and make the most painful sounds changes my playlist for some crap I didn't even know was on there and proceeds on lke I wasn't there. SO gave him 10mins and put it back onto my jams then I watched as we worked up the guts to come up to me and our conversation went like this.

"oh hey man I was listening to that"

"yeah you were."

THEN as I was getting the lift up to my flat this chick in the lift says.

"Just finished crossfit?"

I calmly replied.

"no i'm a powerlifter sooooo"

Probably the best 200 has ever felt before and raw for tghat matter was a good feel. Warm ups felt great, felt like s*#t after work so came home for a few hours kip woke up still feeling like s*#t and somehow pulled this out tonight was pretty happy. 1st set of 200 double was almost there 700lbs had to help me a bit so then figured singles from here would be best. Chucked the wraps on to get the last 2 out and they didn't feel good at all. Funny thing is filmed all of them and the camera stopped just before the last sets. Sooo once I figure out how to post them they will be up soon I hope.

Cut the session short as it was getting close to 10pm and still hadn't had dinner and got the word, But felt like I could have stayed there till midnight just mucking about and had 700lbs for entertainment so not all bad.
