Nice squatting!!!

Cheers guys!

Goal is to hit 8 reps with 220kg around April! Hopefully sooner! I've never solely focused on Squats for my quads before - I'm not doing any other quad exercises. Maybe forever. 8) Really like it.

Why is that mate?

Squats are king.

Hack Squat

I've hurt my knees several times on this. Also my lower back has had me in agony for several days (the back support stops short of my lower back on the machine at my gym), when going really heavy it's got the potential to completely wreck the lower back. Verdict = not a good exercise to go heavy on for me.

Leg Press

It's annoying removing plates from the machine. I worked up to 15 plates per side last year. This exercise I only do 3/4 range motion... if I go too low my lower back also tends to round off. Although by gripping the handles and pulling yourself down in to the machine really hard you can negate this. I may start doing some at the end of my workout with my toe presses... probably same max weight.

Lunges

Are gay.

Front Squat

May do this from time to time, maybe closer to competition. Don't really like the delt bruising though.

Leg Extensions

What a waste of time. I feel this exercise is only good for pumping up. Go heavy and it's a potential knee wrecker. May use close to comp time.

Repped 8) If you did nothing but squats your legs will be beast!

 HOLY SHIIIAAATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solid amount of food man! Do you have much of an appetite post w.o or does it change from bodypart/day to day

Solid diet equals solid gains. I've only got two workouts in my routine, half the bodyparts in one and half in the other. I feel incredibly hungry after a workout... they take me around 1.5-2 hours to complete. Makes it easy to scoff food down.

Of course man.

Why are the workouts so long? (srs)

Because I do not rush, I stretch and I warm up thoroughly before I hit a body-part. (srs)

Oh yeah each to their own I guess. If it works for you then keep at it!

Always best to prevent an injury than to cure one eh
