Unlike powerlifting ...Bodybuilding focuses more on aesthetics with benefits of some added strength... :) if your still reading ... you must be wondering "what's new  we all know this!"

For all those bodybuilders/ aspiring bodybuilders  I have got two questions

1) what's your favorite part... A must have in ur wish list..Is is going to be bulging Biceps Vs chiselled Abs or does the mass favor something else :-s

2) Body part that you think is the hardest to achieve (disregarding nutrition/genetics/workout routine)

As for question 2.. If you disregard nutrition, training & genetics what's left??

lol I meant assuming that your nutrition and training is optimal ...which part do you (most of us here) think is the hardest to achieve... I mean some1 with big calfs has a genetic advantage but I was keen to know which part on average stands out as the hardest to achieve(takes more time for most of us)...

Love training CHEST,but like a good back workout too & shoulders.

CHEST is best!!!

2) Body part that you think is the hardest to achieve (disregarding nutrition/genetics/workout routine)

LEGS are the hardest to achieve results for me! but il keep on working on them.

Nice to see legs leading not  surprised actually  ...To folks new to bb keen to add mass ??? start with legs...the trend says it

Hamstrings
agreed  quads easier to gain compared to hams
thick lat
=P~ :salute: sure adds dimension to ones upper body...sply if one donsnt have a slim waist..takes time to add some mass too

No Abs off Fans here  ??? :pfft: :pfft: :(

1) If I have to be picky, biceps big time.. Peaking ones.

2) Hamstrings for sure. Haven't met anyone in this country with a mad assssss sweep. Just my opinion. *In b4 hate*

Completely agree. I was pondering on those two. But I love a sick and thick lat spread.

Oh yeah.. Lats as well :pfft: totally forgot about that. Yeah I don't see many people with lats either. But perhaps this is a waist issue..

I think having great abs would definitely be a good asset to have... Good for competition and social purposes I guess. With quads I feel the more you put into them, the more you get out really. A lot of people are starting to get some decent quads these days. The people I know atleast.

I've found my lats are an ass to build. Gonna attack the shit out of them as soon as I hit offseason though. I've found through this diet that the smaller my waist has become the more my lats have actually begun to look like lats. But at the same time, I think people try and use their waist as a bit of an excuse sometimes.

#1 Powerful shoulders! posterior, anterior and medial make body builders look like bodybuilders! Having those massive slabs of muscle that wrap around under that collar bone and into the shoulder blade is impressive. Love it

#2 Hardest would be achieving masstastic legs, especially calves and hams as mentioned. For myself legs are easily the hardest workout to perform but the most enjoyable.

Mint Poll!

True... smaller the waist more prominent the lats will be....All i meant was thicker lats= V tapered body

for 'looks' i don't really have a fav, i just want everything to look smooth & connect equally (not having big arms & small chest).

but my fav area to work has to be legs atm, i love the burn you get from this, and the desire to push harder @ each rep.

the worst/boring to train is still abs

I couldn't vote.

I mean I've seen guys with naturally huge pecs and no back, guys with tree trunks for quads and delts like a pre-pubescent girl, and we've all seen the CHARMS guys in the gym or onstage looking like a triathlete from the waist down.

To me, and by definition, competitive bodybuilding is about the complete package, and though everyone tends to have one group that grows more easily than others its a case of training to balance it out.

As for the second part of the question (and I can't ignore genetics!) I think Calves & Shoulder width are things that if you're unlucky genetically (i.e. very high calf insertions, narrow clavicles & small deltoid mass) you will find it very tough to present a competitive well rounded physique on stage (though not impossible due to extreme measures like calve implants & syntherol).

Just my 10 cents!
