nose bleeds

im curious if its bad or dangerous to get nose bleeds when lifting weight?

i did back/bis today, was on my 3rd set on deadlifts & went for 190kg and rep'd 4 (PB'd too), was gonna try for 5 but i stopped cause i noticed the blood dripping from my nose.

It's not normal but it does look hardcore. Could possibly indicate high blood pressure. I would be getting it checked.

It maybe nothing serious but you will need to sort obviously.

if your holding your breath too much it will increase the blood pressure in the capilaries of the face.. that and being hot might cause it.

If it happens regularly get it checked, unless of course your taking something that might make it happen. I got a lot of nosebleeds while taking a pro-hormone once. Stopped after taking it. Never again. Not cose of the nosebleeds tho.

Yep had that happen :-) as others have said probably symptom of something like blood pressure

Latest Muscle and Fitness magazine has an article on Chuck Vogelpohl, photo of him bleeding from the nose as he's coming up from a squat...must be ok
