As time goes on i'm building some pretty thick muscle around my waist and i don't want to end up having an hour glass top half..... it seems to be worse on one side than the other as well so not sure quite what is going on.

Do you guys take active measures to avoid this? once its there its there right so prevention is best cure?

Celebrate the fact that your squat should be going through the roof.

What steak said... Definitely work your transverse abdominus.

I know it hits everyone after a while bro... some of it is water retention around your organs and interstitial fat storage as well. I don't think it's permanent though as I often think I am getting blockier but then I diet down and everything pulls back into line. I also try and eat smaller meals. Seems to work out ok.

whats your hamstring flexibility like, having uneven obliques runs hand in hand with lateral pelvis tilt imo.

i would expect that the tighter hamstring might be on the opposite side of the thicker side also from what you were saying about BB squatting giving you lower back pump it would be interesting to see what a quick and dirty thomas test shows, any decent pt or gym instructor should be able to muddle their way through one if you ask at your gym.

of course internet diagnosis is just pissing in the wind:shrug:
