1 x 3 90

3 x 2 110

Some conditioning to finish on. Feeling pretty good

CBC Club Comp Results

Was another great comp put together by Steak, thanks for the awesome day!

All the members did really way, especially Panzer with his 205kg bench!

My lifts:

Bodyweight: 90.7kg (U93kg class)

Squat

1. 200kg - No lift

2. 200kg - Good lift

3. 210kg - No lift

Didn't feel good with squats at all today, I was missing depth and loosing balance in my warm ups. Not sure what was wrong with me. A bit gutted I didn't break the 200 mark but I still got a 20kg gain off the 8 week cycle so I can't complain.

Bench

1. 115kg - Good lift

2. 120kg - Good lift

3. 125kg - Good lift - PB

Felt awesome with Bench today! The 125 flew up with no problem.. Metal Militia Bench works wonders! Hoping for a 130kg+ by xmas

Deadlift

1. 210kg - Good lift - PB

2. 215kg - Good lift - PB

The 215 felt awesome on the way up, but as soon as i went to put it down i could feel that I had pulled that ligament in my back again. Am very annoyed at this, hopefully it comes right quickly. Should be able to manage a 220 at least by xmas.

Overall it was a good day, my new total of 540kg which I'm stoked with. Also I came second overall out of the male lifters on WILKS :D . Ive managed to gain 40kg on my total in 8 weeks. 600 will be with me in no time if I keep this up 8)

Cheers for all the support from the crew today!

Now time for a spa

On the prowl ya reckon...they were about to eat you alive :lol::lol::lol: Good times

Oh and nice lifting yesterday too. How's the lower back today?

HAHA!

Its actually pretty good considering how sore it was yesterday. I think icing, voltaren and foam rolling really helped the recovery. Along with the hip mobility drills after hours at Sizzle :shifty: I should be sweet to deadlift this friday

Thanks for putting together the awesome day :D

Deadlift - Week 9

Had a light session tonight as my backs still a bit sore from pulling it on the weekend. Hopefully ill come right by next friday where I plan to get a 220  I know the strengths there, just not sure if my back will blow out again.

Deadlifts:

1 x 10 60

1 x 5 100

1 x 5 120

1 x 5 140

3 x 3 155

Power Shrugs:

3 x 5 155

G/Ms:

1 x 6 40

1 x 6 50

1 x 6 60

1 x 6 70

GHR:

1 x 10 bw

3 x 8 bw + 5kg

Foam rolled my entire lower posterior chain and stretched everything out real good.

If my back does play up when i attempt a heavy 1rm again does anyone have any suggestions on what deadlift program i could do that is higher reps but still power/strength focused? No doubt Steak will know of something 8)

been reading through your progress after seeing that thread in post your pics forum.some solid training you guys are doing there!

youll reap the rewards within a few years. The U93 junior division is strong in NZ but you could be part of the new wave of juniors coming through as the current juniors move to open/flag it for other sports and generally drop out.

Just realised right now that I forgot to warm down! Brb push ups

On another note I think, dare I say it, I'm going to do a wee bit of a cut after the x-mas club lift. Want to get the body fat down low for summer. Once I'm shredded and get my pic on nz aesthetics then I'll do another bulk and go hard for my 600 total I'm hunting down and 100kg body weight
