Back from the squat session :grin: Gotta admit man, these are becoming easier as the weight increases :shock: - plus helps out that I hardly ever get DOMS now, while I do love the feeling it gets in the way of everyday life when you get them in the legs \:D/

SQUATS

*5x3 120

So much wanna-be's tonight and they are all so fuckin rude. Like for instance if I make way for someone because they have a plate or two in their hands, they don't say thanks.. Was tempted to make a smart ass comment but why start trouble over nothing.. Or in other words, I'm a bitch :lol: - Gave the glute-ham raises a go and I still lovem! Added 4kg dumbbells to each arm as I go up and down but that proved to be quite tough :pfft: only managed 4 reps, so might drop it to 2kg..

GHR

*3x4 4kg

Was looking at muscleimaging before and man.. Some of the competitors I may have to end up facing some time in the future look like they are going to be pretty damn tough to beat... Two that come to my mind is Rick Ujflussy and Craig Smith :shock: Wonder how long these guys been training... amazing conditioning too. While I know this sport you should focus on yourself and no one else, I think it's good for me to try and aim higher and expect more of myself.. But another part of me is starting to feel pessimistic, like will I gain the amount of size these two have? They ain't enormous by any means, but they sure as hell dwarf me.

I hope they don't mind me posting their pictures, they look great so I don't think they would.. Laugh if they got mad though :lol:

Was talking tonight in the gym with him about nutrition. He eats twice as many carbs as I do, probably the same as you aren't u having 400gms?

I met Rick and I was glad he didn't compete :pfft: but at the same time I want to test my mettle! I think 450 at the moment, trying to see how much I can tolerate before I spill over.. Oh wait, I have spilled :lol: but the video that was posted on page 5 is basically how I'm looking. Not bad considering 500gms I was oever 15% body fat and way out of shape

Which are you talking about Rick or Craig? Craig has mad potential :shock: how old is that guy!?

Man, you're going to be really disappointed to hear this.. But I left within like 15 minutes of my workout today... Just didn't feel... Just didn't feel like I was in the zone ya know? Everything was a struggle, nutrition was crap.. Ate wayyyy too much lollies and what not. Just a rough day. Can't lie guys.. Disappointed, but I'm not beating myself up over it.. What can ya do ya know? All I can take from this is don't repeat it.

Get good sleep, let your nutrition be your number one priority so it intensifies your training. Lesson learnt the hard way :doh:

Man I gotta tell you guys, that one hour earlier sleep did the trick. Woke up feeling SO energised. My bad day yesterday must of been due to waking up early and sleeping late-ish. (I wake up at 5 20 and sleep at 22:30)

GREAT arm day \:D/ Especially the biceps! Which is something I am really targeting this off season. How ever the triceps I could not get anyone to help pass the plates for the dips so I did diamond push up super set until failure.. Actually I think I got an exercise I can do for next time :think: gives me an idea :grin:

Day 14, Arms.

-Cable curls

*3x12 54kg

-EZ bar reverse curl

*3x12 32.5kg

-EZ bar CG curl

*3x8 35kg

-EZ bar WG curl

*3x8 37.5kg

-Reverse preacher DB curl

*3x8 15kg

My energy was great! And managed to do more reps on the preacher so next time I will try doing 17.5kg and see how that goes, looks pretty heavy though :shock: . Great pump nonetheless! :grin:

-Tricep push down

*3x10 84kg

-Skull crushers

*2x10 35kg

1x10 40kg

-DB over head extension

*3x10 30kg

-Dips super seated with D pushups

*3x10 for each.

-Reverse cable pushdown

*3x10 40kg

Man, AWESOME tricep workout! \:D/ I can't believe other time I was working out I thought 40kg skull crusher was hard and lost form! I actually did it with great form and definitely will do 3 set of it next time! Moved up in most of the exercises so I'm stoked as! Hopefully the arms grow 8)

Actually had a 2-3 bad as days of my diet so I thought I throw in 10 minutes of cardio which burned off approximately 143 calories or so. Also took out 20g of carbohydrates. Will keep this up for another couple of days and see how it goes then I will get back into my normal food schedule. I guess the lack of sleep made me lose motivation towards my goals.. Or maybe you just get days where you want to do it more than anything and days where you think what's the point? I will try to sleep early all the time now and see where it leads.. If I keep having great workouts and a positive mentality then by all means I will keep sleep in check..

Also today didn't have any cravings towards anything while those 2-3 other days just wanted to eat anything sweet. Lost the plot eh homies! :pfft: Waist measurements are the same.. (by same I mean it has gained half an " since I stopped dieting) Legs have grown an inch since the show, arms we will have to wait and see. I feel like my lats have improved too but only time will tell. Calves have gone up too!! woot \:D/

What can I say? Too easy... Going RIGHT down, waiting a second then shooting up like an Iraqi Missle feels awesome. Want to see if I can keep this form and technique with 3 plates ya know? Anyone can go up and down fast but can they just fully control it? We'll see!!! GOGOGOGO!

Only disappointing them is I didn't receive my Waikato show DVD!! :evil: :x I have no patience when I have to wait for something ya know? Bodybuilding is different.. But when I order something I fucking have to check if it's here yet all the time. BAD habit... I just want to see how I looked, how I posed, what areas need work on from the point of view of the stage. I will post the video up when I get it so y'all can chip in!! :pfft:

Awesome squats Loochi. Training sessions are solid.. You seem to be jacking up the weights from session to session pretty easily (JEALOUS) lol.

P_N_W: Thanks mate :) - I just add 1.25kg plates each time I perform a compound movement if I can do a number of reps (If my goal is 5 reps and I can do it, I move up!) :D if you don't, try it mate. It's awesome, you don't feel like you're adding anything..

Dude I hope that DVD comes today by the time I finish uni! How long can it take?! The guy is in Auckland from what I remember!! :lol:

Hey guys what's up : )

MAN. What a long ass day.. Caught up with so many people at uni it drained me... :pfft: - you ever get that feeling when you just wanna fucking go home and not talk to anyone? Lol That's how I felt today.

Gotta admit, it was fun \:D/ - Had that physiology class today and we had to go to the gym to test out the 'equipment' and what not. Me and Jhoon (The 2010 NZIFBB Jr champion) owned the place without a doubt :lol: - I got picked to demonstrate every single exercise and the teacher was very pleased with my form and technique. People were asking me shit left right n centre, felt like a celebrity :grin:

One of my lab partners Tash wanted to know what the glute ham raise was, so as you guys know I had to show her, and man.. Everyone in class came up to me and wanted to try it out. Needless to say, everyone single one of them failed miserably!! With the exception of Jhoon, he managed to come all the way down and failed coming up. Guess I beat him at something huh? :pfft:

Got in trouble for showing it though.. Teacher said it was 'dangerous'.. Then I asked her if she could do it, she claimed she could but I could tell she was lying lol. (no arrogance)

Anyway. I got my DVD today.. f*ck guys, I looked like shit. STRAIGHT UP. No joke. I looked out of shape hard.. How did I win? Don't know lol.. But I tell you what, NEVER AGAIN will I make that same mistake of not coming in shredded. I am pleased with how I did my prep (no cardio) but at the same time, if I did do cardio maybe I woulda looked pretty damn ripped.. Who knows.

Anyway, here it is..

Nice calf pump as usual, nothing I really want to add to that. I increased the weight on the standing calf raise by putting a 5kilo dumbbell.. I think I can put more on but I will increase it gradually and see how it goes :nod:

-Standing BB shoulder press

*3x5 57.5kg

-Seated DB shoulder press

*3x5 37.5kg

-Smith machine shoulder press

*3x6 20kg,5kg,2.5kg plates on each side

-Lateral raises supersetted with single arm cable lateral raises

-Bent over lateral raises supersetted with face pulls

Not a bad workout! I definitely feel I redeemed my last session.. I just hope my deltoids improve, I feel like I work them pretty hard so I don't see why not but only time will tell. Was a bit surprising to see a group of big as samoan guys who could barely do 12.5kg lateral raises, swinging their bodies, bad form and ROM etc.. Yet their flat bench was awesome, 120kg like it was nothing etc

Yeah it's a NABBA thing, I HATE IT. cause my left side SUCKS. I never pose it or even look at it :pfft: - that's good though I guess, gotta get good with both just incase.. Also they make you spike your other leg.. EG: If you do a back lat spread with your left leg out, when you do a BDB you gotta do your right leg..

Thought I'd post earlier than usual since I got work soon and an assignment due on Tuesday that I haven't even looked at! :shock: Damn I hate work, gonna quit that shit soon :pfft:

Was just catching up with one of my homies earlier and then we somehow ended up bitching about Moe and his kuniving (sp) ways :lol: - Learnt heaps of shit, but I won't get into that bs here.

What I will bitch about though is this asian guy in my gym! Dear Jesus, why wasn't this guy in the Tsunami :lol: you know what I mean!? jk jk He's obnoxious though..

He literally copied my back day routine, I know so because everything I needed to use he was there before me, one step ahead!! Fuckin hell! :x - Does everything wrong, packs the weight.. Then when he comes to ask advice.. All I can think of is how bad this guy stinks.. Fish and chips!!! And no to mention when ever you suggest something he declines it? It's like why would you even ask anything if you're not going to even give it a shot, ya know?

He left quite early.. Did a quick bench set.. Had a 10kg plate on one side and a 15 on the other.. :pfft: - normally I'd tell people but this guy, I really dis like him.. Lol Didn't look in his direction so I could avoid the small talk lol!

Anyway,

Day 16, Legs.

-Good mornings

*3x5 with 1.25kg plates :pfft: then 5 extra reps after I drop them

-Hamstring curls

AWESOME pump, the GHR. BEAUTY. I hope I see some great results in the years to come, got my mind focused on this so much! I need to think like this for other body parts so I will have no lacking areas... Here's a video of hte GHR, it's a killer hamstring workout man! Try it out!!

-Squats

*5x3 125kg

-Close stance front squats

*1x5 100kg

2x15 80kg

-Leg press

*3x10 285kg

-Static lunges on smith machine

*3x5 20 and a 5 plate on each side :pfft: :doh:

Great squat sesssion imo, the 125 was easy, but will start getting tough soon.. the close stance squats I decided to jus man up and try 100 but I failed miserably.. Here's the video

Notice I stand REAL close together to try and hit more fibres in my legs, hopefully will make an improvement for next time. Could be a waste of time but could also potentially strike gold so who knows? we'll find out

Leg press, man I dono why but I'm starint to like this exercise, before I could hardly move it or even wanna come near it.. But now I just wanna pack the weight, kept thinkin of the ronnie coleman vid.. LOL! ofc no way near that much weight... but nah definitely will get it another shot next time \:D/

Lunges were by far the toughest thing today. Every rep had me doing a face like I was constipated.. Great pump also.. I thnk it's looking like promising off season so far, diet is a bit of track, i sneak in some food here n there, but aslong as I hit my numbers, then all good.. : ) :grin:

Awesome journal, informative and entertaining.

How did you find doing those squats with a really narrow stance? Can't hurt to give it a go for a while, Tom Platz used to go really narrow when squatting and we know how his legs turned out. Check this clip out, crazy form.

Better do something about it before I regret it. Can't stand uni! Wanna finish and become a personal trainer so I don't wanna fail a paper and repeat a semester :lol:

Man what a LONG and BORING weekend.. I couldn't take it so I handed in my letter of resignation... :shock: - One of my work associates tries to act like my boss when he's in the same exact position.. Only difference is, he is 40 years of age, no ambition and has been in a lot of trouble, for instance grabbing a girls ass at work, or handling thieves inappropriately etc. My boss was pretty saddened to see me hand the letter, but he is also furious about this guy and action will be taken :pfft: - Wrote a lot in the letter so hopefully will get his ass fired! That will be a big accomplishment :lol:

I'll admit, I will miss the income that I was getting (even though it was minimum) but at the same time I will have more focus on uni and best of all... MY TRAINING!!! \:D/

Upping food today.. 203P/465C/63F :grin: - Still looking a bout the same as last time so let's see if I can get away with it again :lol:

Day 17, Chest.

Not a bad day! No real improvements.. I feel like if I do move up I will sacrifice form (not on the bench though, will keep increasing) - Decline db has improved but was still easy, I have a fear the decline will collapse on me, anyone else get that? Lol

Very disappointed with the dips, I felt like I couldn't go more than 30 kg for some reason.. Maybe the blood in my chest or something.. Hopefully next week this won't be aproblem. I really hate chest days in terms of pain, it's really punishing, with somehting like back and legs it's quite the rewarding feeling? Like you want more.. But with chest and biceps its like "NOoooo enough!!!!" lol I bet everyone's different in this department though? Gotta keep improving.. Squats tonight, and hopefully upping the cals will have me more strength.. but I guess we will soon find out.. Won't we.....

until then guys. :doh: Gotta do an assignment due tomorrw.. Which I haven't started!! Damn work.. :shifty: :lol:

You could maybe try asking around at the nutrition shops/gyms you go to if they're hiring part time or whatever.. With your rep/physique you might be pleasantly surprised :nod:
