Oros
I seem to be clocking up some bad experiences with eggs over the years.During contest prep (the 2nd comp I attempted a decade ago), I developed quite a serious bacterial infection from eating raw eggs (don't follow Rocky movies for nutritional advice :pfft: )Lesson learnt - now eat cooked eggs only! :pfft:  A number of years latter, rushed to peel the hard boiled eggs, failed to notice a fair sized piece of egg shell still stuck to the egg, ended up with a cut gum that ulcerated and took a number of painful weeks to heal Lesson learnt - pay attention, and atleast look at whatever you're about to shove in your mouth :? This morning,.....again rushing to peel some hard boiled eggs, piece of shell penetrated straight under my damn thumb nail then broke off!!! .I have never felt such an insanely intense burning pain like this before,....no blood just...PAIN!!!!!After a number of fail attempts with tweezers, and painfully trying to dig the shell piece out with a sewing needle, I eventually had to resort to going to the Botany clinic,..........jab of local, that numbed my whole hand, slight lift of the thumb nail, and out the piece of egg shell came.....no problem  Lesson learnt - my wife can peel my eggs (boiled ones!!) from now on, or buy a bucket of powdered egg protein instead!Who would think that such an insignificant, round(ish) thing that comes out of a chickens a-end could have such effect in ones life!Next topic: the dangers of tuna fish tins,.....how NOT to nearly cut the tip off your friggin finger!!! :shifty:
