Not sure there 2guns. As a past show promoter for NZFBB the only problem I ever encountered was those jumping from one federation to the other but that was easily fixed just meant the competitor had to pay their membership fee again. For those that did it frequently they didn't mind.

I am an Executive Member and also an Event Organiser for the NZFBB. We are holding our AGM this Sunday (30th) and I'm sure the merits of the Super Body Classic will be a hot topic of conversation.

I can't confirm the official stance of the NZFBB regarding restrictions of our members competing in this event, but at the annual IFBB congress in Europe late last year a resolution was passed to relax the restrictions regarding prize money at amateur events. How that affects the NZFBB at the moment, I'm not certain, but I will find out for sure this weekend.

Personally I think this new event is healthy for the sport, and I'm sure Moe is the right person to make it a success. It's a real shame for competitors that it clashes with the NZFBB Taranaki show - I have competed at this event for the past 3 years and it is a top quality and very well organised and supported event.

One final comment - just because the NZFBB (and probably NABBA also) publish their rules regarding amateur status restrictions doesn't mean we are against this new event. It's more a case of warning competitors of the potential risks in case someone breaks a rule and someone else then makes an official complaint if that person trys to compete in future. Hey - hopefully we can find a compromise to allow people to compete in the Super Classic without any ramification to either the competitor or the NZFBB. I can't speak for the other NZFBB Executives, but that is my personal opinion for what it's worth!

Good coments made by MasterTel.

i think this show is great for the sport of bodybuilding here in NZ and think both Nzfbb an Nabba wont really inforce any rules upon atheltes as they to are tring to make the sport grow. I think it is great that the time has finally come that people are trying to help the sport and there are more people voluntering to help run the shows back stage and up front. Now as for competitors, lets get together and incourage competition, let incourage other people that are in shape to have ago and get on stage, its not about being absolutly ripped and huge its about self confidence and acheiving a goal, also the abs are a benifet. so guys and girls get your gym mates together and organise a team from your gym and have support for each other.

cheers, sorry about the spelling mistakes (at work and have to be quick) lol

Hello everyone, I am sad to let you know that the super body classic is not going to take place in november, due to many reasons, most importantly the situation surrounding the tragic events taking place back home, specifically my family's situation there. In all cases we will be pursuing the show some times in the near future. As far as the information about my pro status, it will be reinstated in october and I had no intention to compete till early next year anyway. I have and always been a big supporter of our sport and the athletes and will be giving out great prizes at the Nationals and may still bring down my great pro friend Troy Alves down to guest pose at the Nationals anyway. I will let you know. MOE Moussawi, Xtreme nutrition owner.
