Maybe its just the way you are posing but chest appears to need a bit of work to catch up to the rest of you? Good on you for posting, be a good time to watch some posing tutorials now and get plenty of practice in before your comp.

8% Might pay to get a second opinion.

Good luck for the comp tho......

To be fair, BF% doesn't mean shit, it's just a gauge. Go by the mirror. If you want something measurable use the tape (not the ruler (no homo)) or scales

Kind of agree what he said.

BF readings at the end of the day is just a mind f*ck.

Go by the mirror. (Like he said ^^)

In my opinion you have alot of BF too to be comp ready (youre not fat)....keep at it.

I would say you are around 12%.

Good on you for posting pics bro. Takes some nuts with hair on top...

I think maybe you need to take some more pinch sites to get a more accurate reading on you bf... looking lean in some areas and less leaner in others.

Keep up the good work man. Looks like your going hard

thanks for the quick replies guys. yeah the pics are a bit off-putting in terms of body fat i do look leaner in person. i get my body fat measured every 3 weeks with callipers from the entire body from a person who has a lot of bodybuilding experience. i still have ages though and i planned all along to do it slowly as i can get lean fast if i need to. im happy with my progress though as it seems like im getting leaner day-by-day

What I have to say has already been said, though I'll say it as more opinions makes it clearer.

Your chest needs some catching up. 8% body fat sounds a bit low for what I see, would guess 12%.

Arms look good.

Keep it up though dude good stuff.

Measuring BF is pointless. Ive said it before if it wobbles its fat. doesnt matter what your body fat is say 10% as long as it looks like 2% thats good ( unrealistic I know put its the point Im trying to make).

i agree man, just get my bf measaured to see how much muscle ive gained/lost/maintained basically. and its always nice to know where your at/how you've improved

Even if its not a correct reading.. If the margin of error is the same each time and the numbers are going down thats progress..

Be keen to see your progress as time goes

yea man, the same person is taking the reading each time so the readings in terms of progress will be accurate.

You look great dude!! Everyone says your chest needs work but maybe when you cut down a bit you will see it better.. I know mine looks better with low bodyfat including my hamstrings and delts.. So just chip away. Quads looking good mate. I think back needs a bit of work and so do hamstrings

yeah man only time will tell. not sure about chest but im pretty sure hams will look ok when i get leaner as you can see them from the side when doing a side chest/tri and can see them when hanging down when sitting on a bench haha and also when doing lying ham curls apparantly, so hopefully should be ok in that area. and the funny thing about my back is i only learnt how to train it properly since about 7 months ago, december last year it was straight up and down, ill try and find a pic sometime to show you

Agreed :)

Looking good trainlikeafreak! Nice arms and outer sweep on the quads.. Calves will look mean once you lean up. All the best with the rest of your prep.

Yes agreed. However, IMO this is why a % is not necessary. I just go by the mm.

A trainer once told me he estimates 10mm to be around 1kg of fat. Thoughts?
