Come at me

Recommended Posts

Pete's probably gonna hate me for posting this but whatever

I'm 17, 5 foot 2 and weighing about 71kg at the moment. I'm just starting my diet and for my first comp on October 1st. I'm hoping to diet to under 60kgs. My posing needs work, as I was doing it without my brother. It would be much appreciated to get some (constructive) advice. (I'm aware my back and chest are shit but meh).

i'd say focus on bringing up your chest and lats bro got some solid wheels but they over power the the rest of you.

Good stuff man!

Thanks. Yeah chest and lats are so weak haha. Pete said I'm gonna have to start taking legs lightly through my diet. Or something rather.

Nah f*ck that, don't worry about getting symettry right at this stage, you've got alot more years to let your upper body catch up, dont sacrifice your size for a teen comp. Keep training legs hard as but yeah smash delts, and chest hard.

You've def got a good base to work with man, great potential. Your small short frame will look massive once you've shredded all the fat.

Good luck with your cut!

Thanks man. I'll remember that haha. I smash everything as hard as I can, you can count on that.

Thanks Looch. If I can strip fat like you have, I'll be pretty stoked. All in good time.

Good amount of muscle for a teen, be good to see how it comes down when you get shredded! Practice your posing cos those compulsories need some work.

Practicing every night, trying to make those small adjustments. It's better when Pete is there because he can see and make all the comments in what I need to do, but I still know what to do. I just get my mum to tell me if my left shoulder or elbow needs dropping etc.

:ditto:

Good stuff, keep at it

Amazing that all responses have been sensible and constructive, I must be on the wrong site

I think it's 'cause I actually asked instead of boasting hahaha.

Stocky mothafucker... mean quads. Are you competing this year?

Yup, competing on October 1st at Wellingtons.

Thanks to everyone else as well (sorry but it's taking too long). Your comments are much appreciated :D

Actually your foot placement is more my concern.

Needing to be back more on the sides? or the rears? Because I haven't quite got the hang of rears

From the side mostly... when doing your side chest and side tri, try placing the ball of your judge facing foot in line with the middle of your other one.. slight bend in both knees and bit of weight on the front leg to bring out the separation. I think in one of my pics one is a side chest.. just look at the foot placement.

Alright. I've got ya now. Thanks. How about the rears?

I think I have some clearer ones on my facebook? Not sure.

The rears is a hard one.. you are standing upright and the pics don't reflect your development. Think of the judges as being down on an angle and so lean slightly backward and sit your shoulders squarer.

With your legs, both legs slightly bent, one foot about 45 degrees on an angle behind the other and think about flexing from the calves, then hams, then tuck your glutes in and your there.. yeah bloody hard work! Relaxed stances practice all the time.

I HATE POSING! hahahahaha. I'll give it some practice a bit after dinner. A thing that's often debated though is your glutes being tucked in or sticking out because tucking in shows your erectors off more and sticking them out shortens the back and makes it look wider. But I find tucking them in is better for me (so really this has been pointless). I was just wondering what your thoughts on that were?

Tuck them in bro. See if you can find a vid or something of Mike D doing his compulsories, same kind of frame as you and just awesome compulsories.
