Keeping up a workout journal.. TAKE 3. Lol.

The goal for this journal is basically to keep pushing my boundaries in the gym, and improve my fitness for sports. I've got no ambitions to compete right now, have done a couple of bodybuilding shows in the past and still have a chip on my shoulder from coming 3rd TWICE!!! I get pretty competitive, so wasn't really happy with the results. So sometime in the future I may get back on the stage, just to try and get a better placing :pray:

Weight: 70kgs

Height: 5'8

Current PRs:

Bench: 80kgs

Squat: 120kgs

Deadlift: 160kgs

I've recently gotten back into training after a bit of hibernation.. Got the passion back, so this journal is pretty much to keep me accountable.

And yeahhhh bro, busy with work mostly. Now that I'm working normal hours, can spend more time in the gym and get back to saturday sports. Didn't realise how much I missed it!

It's good that life's given you back some time... weren't you pulling shifts n stuff for a while ?

Nice goals, and with those lifts already, I'd say that the boundaries are in for a hard time....

Thaaaanks TFB! Yeah I used to work shiftwork with blimmin overtime for Africa and it wreaked havoc on my mind, relationships and social life. Back to normal business hours though and things are looking up icon_dance.gif

Speaking of which, I owe you a coffee mate.. I still get warm fuzzies from that delish peanut butter you sent many moons ago. Me and Small savaged them jars with spoons in some gym changing room lol2.gif

so besides getting back into training etc, any short term goals you plan to hit mate?

Not at the moment J, just trying to increase the lifts a little from week to week.. It seems to be working at the mo.

MONDAY 06/06 - Verticals

Seated DB press

10's x 10

17.5's x 6

12.5's x 6 x 3

Chinups

BW x 6 x 4

Bb Hang clean and press

20 x 8 x 3

And some more triple extension movement stuff. My form needs some work.

Lat pulldowns (lbs)

75 x 8

90 x 8 x 2

Tried a crossfit routine.. As many rounds as possible for 5 mins:

Deads 70kg x 3

Push press 30kg x 7

Only managed 5 and a half rounds. Geez, it was hard :shock:

CARDIO: 9.5km road run
