Hey all

thought id post some before and afters of the last couple of years

not much to say really,

heres me couple years back, At my all time heaviest of 155.6kgs of Jackness. Had alot of health problems along the way too!, even had a cancer scare and having my left thyroid removed

file.php?id=651

i would then dedicate the nxt year and a half doing Bodybuilding!. In xmas 09 i was at my all time best 99.6kgs and 9-10% bf

Now i had every intention of doing afew BBing comps until the day i decided to do a training sesh up at coast barbell club (owned and operated by Steak and Barbelle). and well....suffice to say from that moment i decided (and a little nudge from steak  ) powerlifting was for me.

the whole Power and strength thing was very appealing to me  even pulled my very 1st personal best in the deadlift of 150kg up at coast

19872_298164398741_631548741_3480698_3903922_n.jpg

and after 14 or so months ive managed to put 130kgs on my deadlift alone!

My last test day i managed a PB of 280 kgs @130kgs BW

also managed to gain 80kgs in my squat, but bench not so much :pfft: .

Atm im cutting down to 119 to keep myself in between either the 120kg or the 120kg+ classes for PLing

Massive progress BJ!

I reckon you'd have great potential as a strongman. Strong back is strong

Thanks brother!...had a crack at Hawkes bay strongest man couple months back

loved the dif types of events. esp the stones and tyre flips!

Interesting to read your phases of training man. Good work and discipline on your part to drop your weight so much and then rebuild in a more functional way!!! Strong mind!

yea bro...i didnt see the point of tryin to add mass while being a fat bastard :pfft: :pfft: , stripping down to the base lvl then as you said rebuilding in a functional way, its had its ups and downs but what sports doesnt these days?.I am still keen to hit the stage at some point in my life and i want to dabble into abit of strongman too!, so theres plenty of time..IRON MIND!

awesome to see it all down like thats bro!! outstanding stuff......now next step linking to 2 two together stronger and leaner to create a mighty unit!!

thats what the focus is atm bro!!! strip and rebuild
