14 weeks out from first comp

Recommended Posts

Hey. I'm 19 and decided I was going to give bodybuilding a real shot at the end of last year. I wasn't sure if I should post pics but may aswell. anyway, here are some pics of what I'm looking like at the moment, they are from the back as that is where I feel I need the most work/advice. The comp isn't far away (NABBA/WFF u19, u87kg athletic tall - I am 94kg at the moment around 9%) now so I'm not sure if there is too much I can do but anyway, fire away :)

Good you posted pics mate. It gives us all a chance to critique it constructively and you can take our advice or ignore it lol. Nice arms and calves mate. I do agree back needs a bit of work. How do you know you are 9%? I could be wrong but you look a bit more, especially if you are 94 kilo's? Do you have any abdominal shots / legs?? I also suggest finding someone who can teach you posing.. You pose wrong and you can look like an under 70 :pfft: , pose right and come in condition can give an awesome illusion of being bigger.

hey loochi, good to hear from you. I get my body fat taken from calliper readings every 3 or so weeks. Just thismorning got readings done and weighed in at 91kg at 8.5%. 91kg seemed a little light as I had been weighing 93-94kg of a night time workout. I do have front on pics but I will be uploading them in a few weeks time maybe at 10 weeks out. I'm not worried about my legs as they dominate my upper body. As for posing haha yes I am getting taught proper techniques as the comp date draws nearer.

Fair enough mate. You weighed 93-94 maybe because you had more food and fluid in your body since it was night time, yeah? It's hard to critique your body with just having those sorts of pictures, but if you want to wait 10 weeks that's totally fine. Good luck with it all man, keep lifting the same amount you usually do and you should maintain most if not all of that muscle if you feed your body with the right nutrients

Thanks for the advice. I'll take some front ons and leg shots when I get the chance. As I said my legs are the least of my worries at this point. And yes I'm going to keep the weight heavy up untill the comp to maintain the muscle as I usually cycle my training every 4 weeks or so
