It depends on the half life of the drug, steady state blood concentrations are reached in a bout 4-5 half-lives so that would mean ~2-3 weeks.

Having said that, it takes a while for the androgen receptor mediated effects to be felt even when optimal blood levels are reached and in this respect everyone is different with regards to receptor sensitivity, density etc.

where did you get a half life of 14 days from?

I thought Test-e was around 4 days? Cyp is like 8 days isn't it?

From what I've got written here:

Active half lives of steroid esters:

Enanthate 10.5 days

Cypionate 12 days

Decanoate 15 days

Undecanoate 16.5 days

Ester Half-life

formate 1.5 days

acetate 3 days

propionate 2.25 days

phenylprop 2.25 days

butyrate 3 days

Valerate 3 days

Hexanoate 5.25 days

caproate 4.5 days

isocaproate 4.5 days

heptonoate 5.25 days

enathate 5.25 days

octanoate 6 days

cypionate 6 days

Nonanoate 6.75days

decanoate 7.5 days

This Is what I got lol and doing a quick pub med search I found an article that states the half life of test-e is 4 days (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2333732)

The Esters you have are exactly half of what I have posted previously...

I wonder if what I have is the full active life of the esters....?

The half life of testosterone its self is only like 2 hours max I think? thats from RX list. I don't know where this double the ester half life comes from? as the half life of testosterone its self is less than the ester half life, There have been a few studies on the half life of of test e and they all say around 4-7 days.

I'm struggling with this one...

I understood half life to be the period of time required for the concentration of a drug in the body to be reduced to exactly one half the original amount..

IE: 250mg of Testosterone held in the Enanthate ester, after 10.5 days would have reduced to 125mg, after 21 days to 62.5mg & so on.....

Active life I believe is: The period in which the amount of drug in the body is enough that it will still produce the desired effects for which it is administered..?

Could someone please clarify..?

active life is synonymous with therapeutic window. Therapeutic window is a concentration range: the lower end is the concentration at which 50% of people administered with the drug will see the desired effect and the upper end is the concentration at which 50% of patients will experience toxicity.

of course its different depending on what you define as the desired effect. Also a drug like test has a large therapeutic window as toxicity doesn't really occur until extreme dosages.

basically all the ester really does is extend the half life.

My confusion with the half-lives, all the literature I have is showing Cyp at 12 days & Enanthate at 10.5......

But I understand what you mean, the accumulation of the previous half lives will result in optimum blood concentrations at about 4-5 half-lives.....

Yup. hmm strange! I've been searching and their seems to be a bit of variation on what the various half lifes are, particularly for enanthate. :s
