Whats your favourite creatine??

im trying to decide what type of creatine to get, regular mono? or Creapure?

is one better then the other?

It's the same stuff but Creapure is made in Germany and known for being high quality with minimal impurities. Some of the creatine sourced from China and other places have been found to have higher amounts of impurities like Dicyandiamide and Dihydrotriazine and also a higher amount of creatine that had been converted to Creatinine.

If you go for something like the 1.2kg or 2kg Optimum Nutrition Creatine which is made by Creapure, you end up getting it for about as cheap as the others anyway. Bodybuilding.co.nz stock those, not sure if anyone else does though.

But I'm sure most people will see no difference between this and mono + dextrose.

I guess in your opinion most people must have a better system than me :pfft:

I won the Overall Mr NZ BEFORE I got anything sponsored at no cost, we all started somewhere.

I'm not sure what that means? I'm just interested in the facts, anecdotal evidence can't be accurately measured so that just ends in a guess.

Oh, and I'm not having a go at you being for being sponsored, you've obviously worked your ass off for many years to be in that position. My point was to others who have to spend a large some of money that they could get results for a fraction of the price.

If you have any links to published peer-reviewed studies showing that adding Magnesium and other electrolytes to Creatine Monohydrate makes a difference to the effectiveness, please post them up.

I'm not taking the piss, I'd be genuinely interested as I've done some searching and have struggled to find anything. The study referenced on the Bodyscience website doesn't show it, so there is no way to tell what caused the differences between the two groups, it could be any one of the substances or even the fact that the Myocytin group would be taking in about 100g/day of dextrose the control weren't. Just too many variables for it to mean anything based on the info.

Where are you from bro? I'm getting a German vibe from your writing. Maybe Dutch? Sorry, it's a random question, you could be from NZ for all I know! If you do live in New Zealand I think creapure through eatme is the best way to go.

*edit: LOL sorry I just saw your username! Yeah eatme, creapure.

I was referring to the comment passed that most people on here would do well with just straight creatine and dextrose and the fact that when I used a similar mix it did nothing for me.

The initial context of this thread has been about straight Creatine Monohydrate, my input comes from the Pro Bodybuilder point of view not in my capacity as a sponsored athlete.

So was offering my personal experience with what works for me, and what hasn't.

I could save a fortune buying straight creatine, but I haven't saved anything if it doesn't work.

Regarding peer reviewed studies on the inclusion of electorlytes over a basic creatine dextrose combination, there are also no studies of Myocytin vs Creatine/Red Licorice either.

My point being that it is not reasonable to study every possible variable, the evidence show that Myocytin works significantly better than standard creatine, and my personal experience is that it works for me where both straight creatine and Creatine/dextrose does not.

I will certainly be happy to contact the Human Performance manager in BSc and seek feedback for you.

As I've also mentioned in an earlier post, Myocytin is not the only Creatine formula with electrolytes and I'm sure the others will be very good too - they just may not be as cost effective.

The inclusion of Magnesium is a point of difference to other brands, it adds value is in increasing work capacity of muscle, production and transfer of energy, and metabolism of carbs and Protein to name a few things all relevant to training hard and growing muscle.

......it is also the primary ingredient in the manufature of Stihl chainsaw motors I learned on Discovery this morning

Well, like I said before, if you think it works better for you, great. I won't argue with that.

You're welcome to your opinion, I just personally base mine on real science rather than personal feedback. If scientific claims are made I want to see the scientific evidence, not anecdotes.

Hello,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I'm a big fan of SizeOn. GreenMag is a close second. But when I'm on a budget, mono will do just fine.
