Training

I wanted to go and set openers on all three lifts last night and adjust program to peak on comp day instead of a couple weeks out with a deload I'll take a few days of after comp before planning attack on North Island Champs.

Bodyweight 92.1kg

Squats

working sets

5 x 60kg, 5 x 100kg, 3 x 140kg, 2 x 180kg, 1 x 200kg

Opener

Belt, suit straps up, knee wraps

230kg

Bench - raw

5 x 60kg, 3 x 80kg, 3 x 100kg, 1 x 120kg, 1 x 130kg

touch and go

140kg

so maybe 150 - 160kg opener in shirt will find out this weekend when I go down to Hamilton and train with Scotty.

Deadlifts

5 x 60kg, 5 x 100kg, 3 x 140kg, 2 x 180, 1 x 220kg

Opener

Suit, belt

240kg

Notes:

squats small improvement since December in power, bench PB at this bodyweight touch and go, was sitting around 95-96kg bodyweight last time a touch and go 140kg so small improvement there, deadlifts well 240kg barely moved in North Islands in dec solid gain here and good opener and change of stance, hips still shot uop first from vid but f*ck it I'll work on it its not a over night fix I think when getting up around 95% +I seem to have it down to a T on the lighter weights just need to work on it.

Now a couple of small adjustments to training and lets hope to post a little bit better total than last comp.

going sumo?

Yeah mate Mumo not as wide as before maybe same as RM's stance, seems to be going well, easy to recover back wise too. Techinque still needs work but weight is moving so will try and sort it out down the track.

Training looks on track VP...down to the business end 8)

Yeah training is going well mate thanks, yeah business end might play it safe this round and try 9 from 9 for a first but then again we'll see :pfft:

lean and mean bro!

how are you finding mumo as opposed to conventional bro?

Hey Brother, to be honest its alot easier all round recovery and lifting but legs need to be stronger for this move as I shot the hips on 95+% before the weight starts to move, but I have a meeting with Cathy Millen on Sunday so once she has a look at my training vid's we might be able to sort this problem out in time.

Hope things are well down your end mate and congrats on your lastest adventure best of luck to you both

stay strong mate

hahaha well what can i say train like the best, lift like the best and hopefully I can beat the best

I went to hamilton yesterday to train with scotty at Kudos, Scotty you have a nice family mate and Firstly I like to thank you for your help Its muchly appreciated you are a top man with pently of passion for the sport and life

I left Hamilton on a high yesterday great to train with someone on your level and the information you share with me is going striaght into my training so in four weeks when I come back down you will see that bench I missed go though the roof

I have some weak points to work on so I will go hard out over next four weeks to try and sort them out so I can get a good opener on bench otherwise will just go raw at Auckland Champs and qualify for Nationals,I will train hard on my base let loose there

I trained bench and back with some assistance work, and thanks for the coffee champ
