Does anyone one know when powerlifting oceanicas was being held in NZ again?

some claimed it was gonna be in aucks?

yeah it is but forgot next year or 2013?

Nxt year oceania's in sydney iirc

Sydney 2012, at the AGM bids will go in for 2014, 2013 Commonwealths should be down this end, as they are in England at the end of this year.

Thanks OB1 thats great news, will be keen as 2013 Commonwealths and maybe even Sydney.

Hahaha about IDS was having a chat with him yesterday on facebook, if he gets the numbers he is saying then he beats me.

He reckons total 727.5kg 8) I told him oh well next year will be a good year :pfft: :pfft: but lets just see how it pans out :wink:

Week 4 of 13

Coast Barbell

Meet Vee today and took her up to coast for a training day, nice to meet you Vee train hard till next time.

Bench

1 x 3 @ 80

1 x 3 @ 90

1 x 3 @ 105

2 x 1 @ 125

Deadlifts

1 x 3 @ 120

1 x 3 @ 145

1 x 2 @ 180

Add deadlift suit and belt

1 x 2 @ 200

1 x 2 @ 225

2 x 1 @ 235 pretty easy all round to be fair, just first time in suit it is loose so didn't know what to except but over all pretty happy I think I will hit my targets in the deads come comp day pretty easy week nine will tell.

Bench

1 x 5 @ 85

1 x 5 @ 100

2 x 4 @ 115

Flies 5 x 10

Lunges 5 x 5

Will start adding volume into training now, seem I know where I sit with the gear.

Bodyweight 96.8kg - shorts (so now its time to up the eating I need to put on 1kg per week to come in @ 104.8kg)

Training

Squat

1 x 4 @ 105

1 x 3 @ 130

2 x 3 @ 150

5 x 3 @ 170 (3 sets with belt 2 not)

Bench (trying to get fast twitch muscles working)

1 x 5 @ 75

1 x 5 @ 90

4 x 5 @ 105

Dips

5 x 10

Dumbell Curls

5 x 10

Another solid outing in the shed, its getting better and better every day there is a good vibe and alot off pride so only good things are going to happen.

Deadlifts

1 x 5 @ 120

2 x 5 @ 145

1 x 4 @ 180

Add deadlift suit and belt

1 x 4 @ 200

4 x 3 @ 220 good solid sets getting better but need to be faster.

Deads from below knee

1 x 5 @ 60

1 x 5 @ 100

1 x 5 @ 140

1 x 5 @ 180

Deadlift suit and belt

1 x 3 @ 220

1 x 0 @ 260 Just shit - piss weak. look at 240 next time for reps

Bench

4 x 1 @ 180 starting to work out bar travel and keeping it level better reps and set up, dropping down a level next week.

Thanks to Damo, Wes, and Big Cory and the coast team for spotting and help today.

Coast barbell

Squats

2 x 5 @ 60

1 x 5 @ 100

1 x 5 @ 140

1 x 3 @ 180 belt

Add suit straps down

1 x 3 @ 200

2 x 0 @ 220 just dipping forward not quite right / maybe strength not quite back either... weight didn't feel heavy just not there.

Straps Up

1 x 3 @ 220

1 x 1 @ 230

1 x 2 @ 240 all a little high some not to far off so happy with this today will put suit away until test day and concentrate on raw speed / power.

Pause Squats

3 x 8 @ 100

Dips

3 x 8 add weight next week.

Done.
