Nice back squats

Thanks man. Shoulder is good its def at 90%. Hopefully it keeps getting better. Squats were good cause was going a bit lower and they came up easy. I almsot wanted to try 180x10, but nah, not now :pfft:

Great stuff man. If you look on youtube there is a 9 minute Svend Karlsen tribute. Guy is the man. VIKING BATH!

Injuries permitting, I definitely will do Strongman one day.

About the Tom Platz thing... man to put 500lbsx23 in perspective, America's strognest man did 505x15 and couldn't do another rep. It's nuts.

Normally I could clean what I could front squat for 3 reps, less about 5kg. This makes me happy, its not a set in stone rule but I now know I'm strong enough to clean 180 but need the technique and speed first.

what is a slow snatch pull ?

Ive just been reading up about pulls, and am incorporating them into my training as I am certain it will have carryover and will add variety.

A slow snatch pull, wide grip, you go slow off the floor keeping tight, push the hips through and shrug it, holding the shrug at the top with straight arms.

But seriously, I was just thinking about who you might have as a competition down at Invercargil. Off the top of my head there's Tevita, Danny (if he goes up to 105+), Glen T, Aukuso.

Haven't seen big T in a while so doubt he'll be going down. Danny's done 117/153 at 105s (North Islands) but I think he might be having a tough time getting down this time, never know though. Glen T has done 117/150 weighing 106 kg, probably will come down to 105s if you ask me. Aukuso did 160 c/j in Samoa, not sure about the snatch but it's probably under 115.

So looks like you've got to keep drilling the snatches because I know you'll get that 160+ c/j soon easy enough.

Phillip Silverman my training partner will be competing in the 105+ his trainings going very well so it could be an interesting battle!!

Phil, wooo this is gonna be awesome. No worries about putting it here.

I'm lookign forward to it and want the best competition there possible. Hell I'm 19, I don't care if I get my butt kicked. I ended up winning NZ senior nationals/commonwealth games trials for shot put because of a rule change regarding nationality's even though I was probably at best the 3rd ranked shot putter in NZ. I was sick and threw poorly on the day and still won, it felt like a very hollow victory. My point being, may the best men rock up and bring their A game.

Phil can snatch 130+ if I remember correctly, so that should make it very interesting!

I'm not going to talk it up, I'm just going to bring 100%. Comp is october 14th in Invercargill, Senior and Junior nationals.

Hahah yeah I do need to sleep earlier, that wasn't normal, I don't know what happened, just wasn't tired.

Yeah he was a great lifter, I've seen him lift twice, think he did 130+155 and 125/150 or so. 155 is a huge snatch.
