Going to concentrate on the grip for the next 2 weeks and hopefully bring that up to speed.

That and the hips.

take this with a grain of salt bro, cos you are way stronger than me!

i think that you already have the strength to lock out 260 bro, but you are 'hanging out'. this is also the reason why your speed off the deck is so good.

basically, you need to put more trust in your leg power - if you use your legs to break it off the floor, you will be in a WAY better position at knee level. the leverage advantage doing this is huge. pause the vid when the bar is at your knees and you will see the back angle.

if you use your legs more, it will be slower off the deck but the lockout will be easier. just a fat weak mans advice brah

Thanks for the advice mate, always ready to listen and learn. Very good point made here and will start putting it into practice.

Saturday in at the office and just wanted to clear a few things up.......

Squats, was not sure how or what I was going to do so went in to find out how things were progressing.......

Like this.....

60 x 8

100 x 5

140 x 3

180 x 3 wraps went on here as well as belt.

200 x 1 x 2

210 x 1 .....still raw (prob my opener)....Lol, had to put that for Red....

220 x 1 was told on the border line....(still raw and not very pretty but got it up)

Should be interesting to see what I can do in a suit on the day. I think I may surprise myself, well at least I hope I will.

Feeling very good afterwards, not fatigued at all and still got energy to go on.....

Now complete deload......bloody good idea, lol...... \:D/

Well it will be back to posting from now on.

COAST BARBELL CLUB COMPETITION.

After weeks of training and straining the day was finally here. Got up in the morning feeling really good and was amping to get into it.

Weighed in at 92.6 kilos, dropped a bit to get into the u93s.

Ended up being in the first flight and my lifts looked like this.

Squat

1st 190 and was all good.

2nd 205 came up but didnt feel as good as it has been in training.

3rd 215 now this is where the shit hit the fan. I set up with the bar way to high and instead of resetting it I just carried on. Bad move, went down and on the way up the bar swiveled on my neck and I ended up dumping it over my head. Enough said about that.

Bench Press.

Fairly average day for that

1st 120 no problems.

2nd 130 no real problem

3rd 135 and it was a grind, I need to do some serious work on my benching, it has taken a back seat while I tried to better my squatting.

Dead Lift

Felt super good going into this, my grip was feeling strong and I was ready for a pb.

1st 230 no problem

2nd 250 no problem

3rd 260 no problem.....that was until my belt broke. It was all downhill from there. I lost all tention in my mid section and had a bit of a blood drain from the head. From what I can remember, I started walking away and then it was lights out for me. I was not under any major strain I think it was just a sudden loss of blood pressure that caused it. End of the day I was fine, just pissed off with OUTBACK belts for letting my down. :banging:

I ended with a 600kg total and took first place in the u93 class. :dancing:

Awesome day and even better people there watching and helping.

Big thanks to Steak and Bar-belle for putting on a brilliant event.
