Friday turned into Flopday.

Went up to the gym ready to get into it. Started on my bench work...

60 x 5

80 x 5

100 x 5

110 x 3 and just could not get into it.

Decided that I would leave and come back tomorrow when the love was back. Just felt very flat and no motivation at all. Must be that time of the month eh???

"It took me years to fully appreciate the value of the lessons I have learned from the Iron. I used to think that it was my adversary, that I was trying to lift that which does not want to be lifted. I was wrong. When the Iron doesn't want to come off the mat, it's the kindest thing it can do for you. If it flew up and went through the ceiling, it wouldn't teach you anything. That's the way the Iron talks to you. It tells you that the material you work with is that which you will come to resemble."

"Strength reveals itself through character."

"The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds. "

Back in for a visit.

Thanks bar-belle, it felt so good, got to do the 220 on my own next time!!!

VP will be sure to have a little word to the judges. (last post was deleted due to it being totally inappropriate!)

Red is getting a bit confused I see, he is getting deadlifting and shrugs mixed up.....the boy needs help.

I am just glad that my trophy is safe at CBC and look forward to giving it a nice home on my cabinet.

On my last post I wrote that I was looking forward to getting a 220 squat without the bands, well this weekend I did just that. No more do i fear the 200 mark, that is long gone. Fun times and bigger numbers ahead!!! :dancing:

A man with a plan, nice one drizzit, can I come on the next one?

Got to back off the numbers now and start gearing up for comp, my deads are up but my bench has fallen, still got a niggle in my arm, cant figure it out and the squats make it worse, such is the nature of the beast.

Looking forward to seeing your numbers when you get back into it. :pfft:

Sunday Deads, last big lifts before the comp.

Wanted to gauge what I was going to attempt at the comp so my day looked like this.

60 x 10

100 x 5

140 x 5

180 x 4

200 x 3

220 x 2

240 x 1

250 x 1

260 x 1 close to lockout but not quite

260 x 1 again, closer to lockout but just not there.

Over all happy with today, at least I know what I am going to do on the day, with the adrenaline pumping I have no doubt that I will pull 260 \:D/
