Monday night Dead Lift

My new training method is def giving me the boost I need. It is so important for me to feel the weight i need to lift.

Training went like this.

Dead Lift

60 x 8

100 x 8

140 x 6

180 x 4

220 x 3

240 x 1

250 x 1

250 x 1 Hitch at top, grind last 3 0r 4 inches

250 x 1 Optimass noted my right side dipping and suggested I reverse my grip, problem solved but little fatigued could not lock out. BUT SAWEET AS!!!!

Lunges

20 x 10 a side

25 x 10 a side

25 x 10 a side

Stretches

Abs with green band

10, 15, 15

7 minutes on bike to flush the system.

And it felt GOOD!!!!!!! \:D/

Front Squats

100 x 5 touch and go from box x 3

100 x 5 deload onto box and fast up x 3

Few stretches to end it off and that was that.

Short and sweet, but oh so good!!!

Its when you walk into the rack all confused and pick the bar up with your chest and not shoulders, then when you get to the bottom you do a nose plant into the ground........BASICS.....you doin it wrong!!!! :stupid:

Wednesday Night Squats.....Bitter Sweet.

Did some learning tonight, got in in the right frame of mind again ready to see what I could do. Feeling good, stepped up and my training went like this.

Squat

60 x 5

80 x 5

100 x 5

140 x 5

160 x 3

180 x 2

200 x 1 missed little girl needed help on the way up!

200 x 1 not quite depth, managed to get back up.

Now that I have an idea of where I am lacking, I will be back in on Saturday to do the tidying up, Steak will be setting up some exercises for me to do to help build my strength.

Next week Weds I will be doing it on my own, on wards and upwards, 200, I fear you not!!!

What sort of training method are you following Traps (apart from just being a beast)?

Hey SamuelNZ...at the moment I am just trying to see what best suits me, I have done a bit of Sheiko but found it a bit too demanding on the body, especially after long days at work.

At the moment I am trying a combination of Wendlers and Auto Regulating. I am enjoying the mixture of main lifts and assist work. I also need to max out more often than a lot of the programs, it helps build my confidence.

Every person is unique and it takes a bit of hit and miss to find what works best for you, this is only my opinion.

Thursday Night Assist.

Need to get my shoulders back up to good working order so have a assist night to help them on their way.

Military Press

bar x 10

40 x 10

50 x 10

60 x 8

70 x 8

Didnt go too heavy was just a bit worried about a little niggle in my upper arm so I called it quits at that.

Dips

10 x 1 Body weight

10 x 1 with 1 chain

10 x 1 with 2 chains

10 x 1 with 3 chains

10 x 1 with 4 chains

10 x 1 with 5 chains

All felt good, up down no problem, again stopped there because of that little niggle.

Rows

10 x 40 L&R

10 x 45 L&R

10 x 45 L&R

That was it, just a short one tonight, got bench tomorrow and want to save a bit of energy for that, will see how I am feeling tomorrow when I get to the gym, the beauty of auto regulating, lift what you feel you can for the night....feel strong, lift more, feel flat, take it a little easier.....thats the way to do things!!!

Problem I find with this method is I tend to open myself up to injuries. Because I am tired, my technique will suffer. When that happens I lift incorrectly and that is when injuries occur. :discussion:

Friday night bench.

Walked into gym today to see my face stuck on the wall being used as a bulls-eye!!! Red Machine.......you inspire me to better myself!!!!

Couldnt get next set out, slight issue with the left arm.

Tri pull downs with elastic band......followed by some pretty intense cramping, lol. Funny but painful at the same time.

Head is in the game, learning to get serious and loving it, mind over matter is the way to go. Red I see you, I watch you, I come get you.
