47.5kg bench, peanuts! looked liked you had a 50kg in ya :clap: well done vee amazing gains

I'm surprised how relatively easy that went up, but alas not a good lift :( 50kg on the cards soonish...

Yup what they said. Great stuff! Much improvement in form on last comp :nod: And those numbers are flying up. Wohoo! Tough refs are good as they prepare you for the next step up in comps. Hope you get to have a bit of a rest now...you deserve it.

Yep tough refs are good, they were consistant and if you got a lift you really deserved it!

What's the plan to take you through to next year?

Hmmm I spoke to OB and he reckons a 5x5 with accessory stuff, all the things I'm not normally allowed to do like ...curls...... :pfft:

A bit in limbo till I can start the 13 weeker to the CDs.

I spoke to Matt this evening and he was gonna send me a 5x5 template to look at and I spoke to Zane and he was recommending front squats as I tip forward on back squats.

I was gonna do one day squat bench both 5x5 then one day deads, bench 5x5, then bench squat 5x5 up to 80-85% max with lots of sledding, prowler, rowing, chins, hyper ex etc etc. I will take a look at this 5x5 template and take it from there- too many things to do not enough time!

Yes lots of people have had good results with 5x5, there are so many versions around too. I did a 5x5 last year for about 6 months, I had forgotten about it, I will try and find that one too, it was great I had a great time on it. I look forward to me smashing PBs too, I need to catch up to the big kids! 8)

Never done 5x5 myself but have seen others get great gains from it. Go hard :grin:

Pleased with the OH press as I haven't done these for ages and I have really weak upper body, like seriously when I first started lifting I couldn't even do this on a machine with no weight :oops:

so 25kg is awesome for me and I could definitely up this next time to 27.5 or 30.

Deads were a killer, the 90 5x5 was getting heavy and I failed to lock out on the last 90kg so I stuck on my belt and got that last one.

Kept my belt on for the 95kg 5x5 and had to break it up to x3 then x2.

I am very pleased to have done 5x5 at 95kg, this was my max not that long ago and now I just did 5x5 awesome! At least my red face goes with my black t shirt this evening :grin:

So true! My brother and I were in there for 2 hours... we were the only people there the whole time! (besides MT for about 45mins, and OB of course) Just after 3 to just after 5 as well, so not exactly off peak time.

We came to the conclusion that everyone finished their year on the BBro, so we're using the time wisely to get a head start :haha:

Went to the southern cross for Christmas work do last night and had a stone grill, yummy! It's a cobble stone heated to 400c and you get to cook your own steak on it, it was sooooooo good, washed down with a martini :grin:
