I will be with you in spirit... like the others have said, have fun, go hard - oh, and pull some crazy facials :)

I reckon that even you may be surprised at what you can do!

Thanks sir! I had crazy facials on the deadlift, you would have been proud!

GO Hard Ve at your comp

Thanks GR :D

Seeya on Sat Vee, good luck

Thanks Drizzt nice chatting to you today too

Good luck chick! Whoop!

Thanks VC :P

SOOooooooOOOOOOOOOO LE COMP!

Had an AWESOME time, met lots of awesome lady lifters too.

I managed to get into the 63kg weight class by 200 grams! I knew if I ate breakfast it would have pushed me over so I weighed in then ate.

I was up first, feeling very nervous indeed, but once the first lift was over I felt STILL nervous but not so much!

Kept my opening lifts low so I would get them, ended up completely knackered by the time the bench came around, after bench I ate, drank some redbull and perked up again.

Thankyou everybody who helped me, so many to mention, but there were lot of kind motivating words, yelling and 'go Vee' shouts!

Squat

1st 40kg three whites

2nd 45kg three whites

3rd 50kg three reds - got it down and up but racked it back too early

Bench

1st 37.5kg 3 whites

2nd 40kg 3 whites

3rd 45kg 3 reds, couldn't lock out, had nothing left in me

Can o redbull+ food

Dead

80kg 3 whites

90kg 3 whites

92.5kg 3 whites

Came 1st for my weight class

Really happy how it went and SO glad I got most of my lifts! I wanted to go in and get white lights and I did.

I have learnt alot and will write it down and learn from it and so I can plan the next comp better.

I was so excited about my squat I went to rack before I was told to, I moved my foot and KNEW it damn!

Bench I just ran out of steam, I watched the video and I was SO close to lock out! I will nail it next time.

Very tired Vee now.

Thanks Warren and Ruth for putting on a great event it was the most exciting/nerve wracking/awesome/scary thing I have ever done!

You're right it is....but I bet you can't wait to do it again

It is taxing by the time you get to deads  you're adrenaline is starting to wain a bit... I always eat a handful of wine gums or jet planes

Don't worry about the last squat ,with the commands...that is just something to practise and you'll nail it next time. Good on ya gurl.

A very good day at the Office Vee you did what a lot would not do step u8p and be counted awesome effort.

Always tough your first comp and tougher being the first one up but you handled it well. Stepping off before the call is something we all have done  you are just pretty excited to get the lift. That also comes from how you train, always racking the bench or squat straight after you finish the lift. On your next cycle just wait for a 2 count after the last rep then rack.

Nice work on the deads and a good starting total to work from we will see you again BBro?.

Nice suggestion OB, I think M.T and I will adopt this for all sets in Smolov from the intense cycle forward

Vee - I almost got pinged for the step forward thing myself in my first comp, second squat; got red flagged by the judge on my left for breaking at the knee, went to rack it just as the head Judge made the rack call. Lucky to get away with it in my case! I think a few others got pinged for it in my comp too, that, and starting before the squat call were common ones

Thanks OB! Being first up was a bit nerve wracking, but it was good at the same time to not have so much time to think about the lift. I knew it as soon as I moved my foot that I shouldn't have, I won't be doing that again! I will be practicing commands in my head that's for sure. I will be at the BBro with bells on! My 3rd lift attempts from the novice will be my warm ups!
