Bench was good too felt fine.

Deads, well I still need betterer technique grrrrr as it gets heavier my technique gets worse and worse of course! So I'm staying put with my max as anything beyond it is just ugly. Need.more.practice!

Did more sleddering and flipping than last week, I have never done hyper extensions before, they was good!

I eyed up the GHR bench and attempted several versions of a GHR. Placement of Vee on the bench wasn't right though I'm sure so will get some advice on this methinks.

After spending the last week with lurgy I am feeling alot betterer, the decision to miss 2/3 of last weeks training was difficult but I want to get betterer!!

Looking back at campylobacter it's no wonder I got le flu I haven't eaten properly in months. I have been slowly re-introducing foods again as I could only eat certain things after that nasty bug.

Anywho I feel betterer than last week and I have been eating more food variety.

Tonights lifting felt fine dare I say easy

Glad to be back at the house I missed it

Took le box away today and videoed myself squatting to make sure I KNOW where below parallel is.

It is ALOT further than you think  :pfft:

Did all my sets then put the box back to see where I was in comparison and I was going deeper than le box. So GOOD.

I am paranoid about not going deep enough for the comp, I don't care about the weight I will squat the bar if necessary!

Here's a montage from today

Nice squatting Vee! Good tools them videos, eh. M.T and I find checking it after every set really helpful

I am paranoid about not going deep enough for the comp, I don't care about the weight I will squat the bar if necessary!

Best advice I was given for my first comp, was to pick something you can get two reps of for your first lift. Each first lift I had went up really easily and calmed the nerves a lot leading into a more challenging second lift. Also lets you concentrate on listening to the Judge's calls (which is what I was most worried about) without having a heavy-ass-weight distracting ya

Just my 2c (coming from a fellow noob!), I'm sure you'll do great :)

them chucks by rights, should add 20kilos to your total come test day! 8) :P :pfft:

They do all the work really. They are my favourite shoes everer! They are falling apart and I can't find another pair of sequined chucks anywhere I may just super glue them together, maybe the judges will be dazzled by them and pass all my lifts! :pfft:

Thanks sir :salute: I will video more squats as a training tool methinks, it takes the "Am I below?" out of the equation.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely start with something I can do a few of!

Nice squattage there Miss. Any deeper and you'll be sitting on the floor

Agree with Drizzt....open with something you know you can rep..get them 3 whites on the board, then you can start playing with numbers.

Start practising your commands now (if you haven't already) in your head for each lift or get someone to go through it with you over and over so it becomes second nature. A couple of days before my first comp I loaded the bar up about 15kg heavier than my biggest lift and practiced just walk outs so I was used to a heavy weight on my back so come comp day it felt light weight.

Oh yes love the red chucks. One of my girls bought me some black and white check ones for mothers day :D . Chucks are the best shoes ever

Nice work Vee... looked well below depth to me, but I agree, until you've been down there you have no idea how far it is....

Great progress considering all the lurg you've had...keep it up!

Thanks TFB, below depth is what I am wanting! It is quite far, a whole new world down there! :pfft:
