Hard to believe how it's possible, but OB and Ruth seem to better their already well-run comps every time they host one  For a few noobs we did ok I think, I was one of the guys on the right-hand side (as you're looking at the stage), only one in shorts, oops haha

Aha! I thought that might have been you it was either that or the other guy on the other side who was a little taller. Anyway good job!

Left small pieces of Vee in the gym totally buggered now.

Bench was easy, I changed my foot width on squat and it felt stronger and slightly easier. My footing has gotten messed up along the line and I have to remember to bring it in slightly as it has been really wide which just sucks.

Jeepers vee, you just can't get a break at the mo, can you...

That's a big workload for being ill, tho... good on you for tackling Boris while flu-ridden - esp the 85% squats

:notworthy:

Feeling alot better dosed up on vit C it cures everything! Oh that and squats too! I could tackle Boris in an alleyway at night with both my hands tied behind my back! :^o

Now Vee is having to cram her weeks trainering in before Sunday. I intend to start #40 on Sundee 8)

Bench was good, it got easier as it went along, this is my favourite ex ATM, sorry deadlift but I'm sure I will go back to favouring you later.

Deads were all good 80's were getting taxing I have brought my stance in a little bit as with my squat and I am more stable the bar comes off the ground faster.

Off to Sporkland today with work for 2 days so cammed in another session before I leave.

Bench was getting messy towards the end of the first lot. I felt totally fine from yesterday but sometimes you really don't know how you are until you are under the bar! Some days you can feel awful and get a PB some days feel fine and can't lift 80% grrrrrrr.

Will test on Wednesday when I get back see where I am at! Woop!

Over and Out! :salute:

Over and Out! :salute:

Soooooo how did you go with your test. Update please

Went great thanks BB. I have been so busy readjusting my schedule to train le evening I have been in a daze this week! Got home from training on Wednesday night and left my lights on in the car, luckily my neighbours text me 2 hours later to tell me! Not sure if car will start I haven't checked since

Got a gain on Squat which I am pleased about as I was having difficulty with my last max last time I checked

Bench got my previous max up strong just couldn't quite make the next increment without being spotted so cant count that.

Deads got a lesson in technique which was great as I have ended up in a weird position somewhere between sumo and conventional and I really want to be conventional style! So practiced that instead of getting to max. I will test dead max this weekend and have another go at bench max too as I should have been able to get another 2.5kg up, may have just been buggered from squat or again technique is prolly an issue too.

I start #32 on Monday so will go do some #37 tonight and some GPP over the weekend. It's all good I have alot to learn!

Went in this evening to do some #37 to fill in until I start #32 on Monday.

Thought I should get some deadlift practice in there too.

Squat:

1x5 27.5

1x4 32.5

2x3 40

2x3 45

2x3 42.5

Not to depth so OB gave me some technique pointers and a box and a rubber band. Thanks OB!

Bench:

1x5 25

1x5 27.5

5x5 32.5

Dead practice:

40kg x lots

60kg x lots

If I get the leverage right it seems to fly up, need to remember where that position is!

Fly

10x5 10

GMs:

5x5

Dips:

3x5

HLR:

10x3

Can't believe I am up this late! I am usually tucked up in bed by now! I is looking forward to a sleep in \:D/

It's all good I have alot to learn!

And it is continual...just when you think you have one lift mastered something else will need attention. I'm sure seasoned lifters have to reset things every now and then. If you are getting little gains here and there that's what its all about.

Box squats are a great way to your improve squat and know that you are getting depth  And you are in the best place to learn a mountain of experience there. KUTGW

Absolutely BB! It's a never ending subject huh! It's great at the house being around others that lift instead of being amongst spin classes!! I would like to marry the house it is just awesome  8)

Wow - nice deads.....

Bar-belle's words of wisdom are spot-on.... I tried conventional deads a while back after an absence and it took a while to get the groove going.

Good luck with the deadlift test

Thanks TFB  , yep BB is wise lady! :salute: and a strong lady!

It's amazing when you have somebody so bloody good at something show you how to do it. Maria explained herself really well and it made sense, it's quite awe-inspiring!

I have Soooooo much to learn!
