Lifting in the House

Old Bull

Recommended Posts

it must almost bring a tear to your glass eye seeing the row of squats racks in full use bro 8)

It does have had it quite a few times but never on camera will get a couple as we head into the Nationals.

"Synchronized Squatting"...perhaps there is a place for powerlifting in the Olympics after all :pfft: Agreed Steak, seeing that many power racks in full swing...

....Priceless

Bro if they are going to let Pole Dancing in then "Synchronized Squatting" could be a go, at least they were pretty well all to depth

  • 3 weeks later...

The boys weren't doing the deads to curls properly, clearly they needed more momentum in the interchange from the dead-to-the-curl :naughty:

This engages the lower back and delts better, and will also maximise pump in the bis and tris

Its a pretty good programme, designed for Olympic weightlifters to go up a weight class, in a short period of time, also as a conditioning programme to get lifters back into the groove. It usually packs on 4-5 kilos mostly around the engine room Glutes/Hammies.

:ditto: jeepers - I can only marvel at that... :notworthy:

This would get your squat going TFB, but you would need to do this, when House members go on to it, they buy a bucket and most need it.

He is only the 5th House Member to finish the programme

Some other stuff from Alex, he was probably more around 97kgs at the start of GSP.

Before

Weight: 94.5kg

Left quad: 25 1/2inches

Right quad: 25 1/4inches

Glutes: 40 1/2inches

After

Weight: 107.2kg

Left quad: 27 1/2inches

Right quad: 27 1/2inches

Glutes: 44 inches

I know how much of a vein bunch you guys are at the house :^o so got any photo's to show how his legs look now? Sometimes 2in's can look like a whole lot more, would be interesting to actually see the progress

What stood out most to me, other than the mental drive to up the intensity as the sets increased, was when he had the "slight hiccup" the just reset and got on with it even with it early in the set. That can ruin someones set/rhythm and and they'll call it

lol PD he is in on Thursday for a Test on his 1RM, see what he says, they are not very photogenic here, I just stalk them with the Camera, and when they are about to lift so they cannot back out.laughing.gif

You are right there, the programme is more mental than anything else, which is where a lot of guys crash on it, it is the top 2" for most people. He came back well from the Hiccup.
