Cheapest place to buy protein or other supplements

It's still more efficient to send it to the states in bulk for manufactoring would you believe! Especially to achieve the taste profile we prefer. One last comment to those buying it by the giant sack, how do you store a massive sack to prevent air getting to it? Otherwise the protein will de-nature very quickly wrecking all the good muscle building and immune strengthening properties?

I'm eating my way (slowly!) through a bulk sack at the moment. It was an experiment, and possibly not one I'll repeat, but it's certainly a very cost effective way of getting WPI. The paper sack has a sturdy plastic liner, so I'm confident it's air-tight. I transfer it into a tub for easy access though. I'm about to do that this weekend, so I'll take some photos.

Is it really that much cheaper by the sack?

What is the nutritional profile in that condition?

Has it been trough an Ion exchange or Ultra-cold filtration process?

I would imagine the taste has a lot to be desired but after doing several BB shows, I know I can swallow just about anything if I have to (that sounds bad doesnt it!). Maybe adding some cocoa powder would make it taste more chocolatey.

Is this tru?

Does it really lower the quality of protein if left in a non-airtight container?

Cause damn, ive probly ruined my protein then :? :(

........revives old thread

I am going to try and get a 20kg sack of WPC from Davis Trading in Christchurch, hopefully their pricing is still good. I worked out at 3 serves a day of 30g it should last 7 months. I don't care about taste as long as it works. I have heard the price of WPC & WPI is going up at the end of this month due to international price increases. I am paying $70 every two weeks for Musashi at the moment so buying in bulk is gonna save me a heap of money in the long run. Cheers 2BulkUp.

I would say prices MAY be going up due to sales of NZ companies to overseas interests, not due to internatinal price increases. I've not heard anything that would support this arguement.

Well I got my WPC 20kg bag today and banged it in a rubbish bin with lid, tied off inside. The taste, almost kind of vanilla like but not quite. For $250 I am pretty happy as it will keep me in powder for well over 6 months. Before this I was spending $70 every two weeks on Musashi WPC ( 1.9kg ). I think I will get a little bored of the bland taste and spice it up soon enough. All in all very happy with the purchase. :D

Ok have I missed out on the bulk Whey at a cheap price????

Looking to contact Davis Trading tomorrow but does anyone know the current prices?

Cheers

I was told as of 1st Feb prices would be up 30% but still cheaper than buying 2kg at a time of branded powder.
