Heel problems

Heya, since November I have had ongoing heel problems. Been seeing a physio for it for about 18 visits but it hasn't helped. I do my leg stretches religiously but I'm stumped. Ideally I would like the pain to go away. It's right in the middle of my heel and this is the crazy part, there's not much there apart from the bone, bursa, & achilles.

I'm not asking for a prognosis or diagnosis, just wondering if anyone else has had something similar and has any advice coz I'm not keen on spending $60 at the doctors for them to tell me that its strange and to go see a physio!

Why don't you make a quick trip to the foot dr? They will probably supply you with some special inner souls which may help.

Unless I've miss-interpreted your question. I get very sore heels very quickly from standing up. I got cheap inner-souls from the warehouse. Only slowed the pain from coming for about 30minutes.

Hopefully the podiatrist did a gait test and all that stuff? I understand some problems can be difficult to diagnose if all they do is static stuff.

I found the folks at Shoe Clinic actually very well informed, picked up some faulty choices in my running shoes that fixed some problems.

Yeah TFB they did. I saw Dr. Ruth Highet (pretty sure) for my flat feet and she pulled out a camera and recored me walking blah blah and tested everything and prescribed a pair of orthotics.

Next appt with the physio, I think I'll get her to refer me on. After 18 visits and its still not fixed, lets see.

She first thought it was my plantar fascia and the tightness in my right calf that was causing the problem but all she really does it deep tissue massage on my foot and the calf. After 18 visits to still be doing that is....y'know? She's told me to keep stretching but when I stretch my achilles hurts so i only do a very light stretch and a deeper stretch through my calf but still nada. :(
