ok im a little behind the times with iphones,androids?

iv got a basic sharp cell phone, but im going to upgrade to a new phone.

It would be handy as, to access this site on a phone,

going by this thread it looks like i should get myself an android phone?

could anyone confirm this,

I just recently got rid of the Android phone I had because it was slow as hell! Not sure whether it was just the phone or the actual android os but it was incredibly slow. Just switched to the iPhone and cant ever see myself going back!

Noooo! Android is far superior! :grin:

iPhones are the most popular single brand of smartphone. But there are already more phones (of various brands) using the Android operating system. That means, although we may not be there yet, you will eventually have more people, more developers, and more apps on Android.

With regards Samuel's experience, you just have to make sure you get a decent phone. Like Haakuturi, I've got an HTC Desire, and love it. Certainly no speed issues yet. Here's a comparison:

i see they are very similar,but with those two models its clear that the Android is a bit more advanced on a few things.

Got a Samsung Galaxy S running android, absolutely awesome phone. If you are an Apple fan go iPhone otherwise just get a decent Android, iPhone is simpler and more user friendly if you arent very tech savy, androids a lot more customizable.

Both have their flaws but both are great O/S, personally I wouldn't buy an iPhone for the sole reason I don't buy apple as the majority of their products are all hype and good marketing(note I said majority not all, keep back apple fanbois)

Highly recommend Samsung Galaxy S.

And if you're into mucking about with your gadgets; there's a LOT of scope to do so with an Android-powered phone. My HTC Desire is running a custom ROM called Redux 1.2 which has the best battery life of any I've used to date.

The other suggestion I'd make is to visit a store where you can compare them in real life (Parallel Importers had a good range! :D)

I found using the keyboard on an iPhone an absolute bitch, whereas the HTC was vastly better. Your fingers may vary, but definitely try before you buy.

It's not too bad to be honest, I managed to post my routine while taking a duce yesterday on my Iphone...unless there was a way to change the resolution when going to threads so it's a bit like bb.com's app? but other than that it works perfectly fine

As someone who has been banned from accessing this site from work, personally I would love an app. I find accessing the site normally through my iphone a tad annoying though, and a bit fidgety, so I haven't been accessing it lately. So it would simply be for easier navigation (by adding favourite threads, sections and using a rolling menu for each section).

What a crack up...you can watch porn at work but cannot surf nzbb..lol :pfft:

If you're going to buy an Android phone, make sure to get at least a 3.7" one and you'll want to spend at least $500 on it. Otherwise it will definately feel cheap and nasty.

I bought an HTC Desire nearly a year ago and I still love it, although my friends have the newer HTC Desire HDs and HTC Desire S phones now. Makes mine feel a little dated. I'm seriously considering getting an HTC Sensation :)

Nice dude

I had a case for mine, but didnt like it. The screen is basically indestructible so I dont bother with a screen protector anymore. Check out youtube for people trying to smash the shit out of them, make you feel good about having it just in your pocket lol.

Yeah the phones have gorilla glass on them, tough as hell. I had a silicone cover for my phone which was just annoying and I had two screen covers which would always get manky and blister in the sun. I ditched the whole lot and just use my phone as is :)
