Diet for abs?

I think focusing on calorie intake is a way to begin that yoyo styled cycle of weight loss.

That depends more on the individual I think. They're the people that think once they've lost the weight they can stop caring about what they eat and go back to their old shitty habits and they'll keep the weight off

I think calorie counting works more in the sense that it makes people realise what they're putting into their bodies, and that includes the macro breakdown as well. If someone's already conscious of what they're taking in then it's totally unnecessary for most, but if they don't have a clue what's going on it's a good way to start and helps them gain some awareness about their eating habits, once they learn more about themselves and nutrition in general chances are they'd be able to stop counting and just make small adjustments as needed.

amck25, what have you been eating lately and how's that been effecting you? Are you gaining or losing weight, staying the same etc? If you've been losing weight how are you feeling? Generally good or a bit run down and tired?

Thanks for all the great info guys(especially phedder).

Im living in a flat and am a bit poor so not the greatest haha.but im really just wanting to get to that stage where i dont crave junk food anymore.

its just a little hard in my situation to not eat things like pasta because its so cheap in conveniant..but i suppose it comes down to how bad i want to succeed in getting in great shape right?

Right now i havnt been eaten like this for long enough to notice a change in weight or tiredness etc.

i wanna try always having 3 full meals a day (breakfast lunch dinner) and start eating fruit like apples in between.also just drinking water and no sugary drinks.

I know im still a bit of a beginner with all this stuff, but been researching it quite a bit and your guys information is really helping so hopefully ill have really good habits in no time! :o

At last a well informed reply with scene and reason and no counterproductive pointless slating. Nice one Phed.

Keep up the good work there amck25, everyone has to start somewhere and at least you've started.
