Diet change

So ever since I've been having the rolled wholewheat oats for brekkie, my, um, system, hasn't been quit the same!! When I was having weetbix it was all fine -and this is the only major change I've made other than totally cutting out junk food, choc etc. So I was gonna experiment with adding just one weetbix to my brekkie and see if my body gets back on track - cheap than metamucil etc....thoughts please??

Hmmmm... looked at the fibre per 100g. According to Crop and Food, Weet-bix is 17g fibre per hundred, rolled oats (raw) is 6.9g. But a hundred grammes of Weet-bix is six or more of them! According to Sanitarium, two Weet-bix only have 3.3g. of fibre.

Other than that, there's not much diff... except for the Sodium, which is HUGE in Weet-bix (and apart from the blood pressure effects, sodium is linked to water retention).

But your diet has to work for you, otherwise it just won't work, so experiment a little.

Um yeah dont think I could eat 6 - not an All Black!!! Definitely cant hurt to try, it was good for me before so I'll just see. I'll only be added the one biscuit so not too concerned about the sodium for the time being.....wow its all so complicated!!!

Maybe try just normal roller oats as apposed to wholemeal or wholegrain. Just a suggestion, see how you go - you might find them easier on 'your system'.

As a side not, gross, I've been eating them for years and they still have the desired effect!
