Either you look better or you don't. Dieted better than the rest. Lost more water than the rest.

 Obviously haven't competed

Look I agree the judging can be a point of contention and on the day it is who looks best. However that condition, size, proportion and hardness doesn't come from sitting on your ass and looking at weights. PLing boys will say BBing folk don't train hard but believe me those of us who want to win train as hard (not going to get into a pissing comp over BB and PLing each deserve there own respect).

On the day you can be the biggest, hardest monster on stage but if you can't pose or don't have the stamina to do a 15min round you aint going to win jack.

Just throwing this out there, how is PLing judging not obective? One udge may consider it's not a good lift while another has no problem with it? At the end of the day we are all human and never see/judge things the same, regardless of which sport it is.

Looking better than the rest is implied in the posing. You can't look better than the rest with a front lat spread where your elbows are pointing behind you.

But at the end of the day the person who lifts the most is the winner. Not the person with the best technique or prettiest squat suit. If bodybuilding still had athletic scoring systems like they did in the early days then I would definetley say it would be a sport. In its current state its more of an exhibition. You guys train and diet your ass off to display the end product to an audience amd a judging panel. Seems more like a juiced up beauty paegent IMO.
