mikes corn cakes.... tonights dinner

big salad with tomatoes,cuccumber,pumpkin seed and sunflower seeds,beetroot,fetta etc etc

the corn cakes

1x can creamed corn

4 eggs

1x can tinned salmon

1x can tinned tuna

wholemeal flour

sea salt,cracked pepper

grated carrot and some dice onion or spring onion

chives

baking powder

mix all the wet ingredients togther,then fold in the dry. cook.done

ive made these a few times now, works well, can just do plain tuna or just salmon too. tasty,healthy and gets ur protein hit up there

Countdown down here has it in the "International" section, rather than with the rices etc. Give that a shot.

also you can get quinoa at binn inn or simpli foods and New world has it as well in the bulk section

You rep quinoa over cous cous, ive read its "high in protein"

but i just read the nutritional info and I wouldn't consider it high lol

Whats it tast like in comparison to something like cous cous

quinoa is slightly smaller or finer than cous cous

takes longer to cook than cous cous, and its more $$
