Sportsfuel for speed of delivery (26hrs last time)

Punch are ok but too many of the advertised products I`m after are always out of stock.

yea man no shit!! I totally agree i once ordered some protein at 2.00pm and it turned up at 6.30am the next moroning  thats 16.5 hours, must be some sort of record.

i have to say though that the first big order i placed was the great because it came with loads of samples, and i mean a lot. so the next time i placed an order i thanked them and said how stocked i was with the samples and service, and since then 5 orders on NO samples what you ever.

they do have a really good rewards dollars thing though, you can about 10 - 15 dollars of credit depending on how much you buy, and save it up, then place an order and not pay a thing!!!

Shotgun Supplements. Very fast delivery (Purchased in the afternoon at about 1pm, arrived the next morning). I always get free stuff including about 3 T-Shirts so far. I got the most free stuff in my last order, check out the pic below.

Whoa that's heaps of stuff! How much did you spend to get all that?

And also that idea about how there should be a website that compares prices for supplements is an amazing idea, now if only someone could create one..... or maybe it could be a feature on this website? now that would get a s&$# load of views!

Actually, I was discussing this with someone the other day. My feeling was that although it's a cool function, it would take an awful lot of very clever programming to get it to work. It would also be tricky to get the site to pay for itself through advertising because everyone would just click the cheapest price, regardless of what your advertising says! :pfft:

That probably is true, but damn, it would be such an awesome feature!

I use to be a web programmer back in the dotcom days & it would not be that hard at all. All you need is each supplement store to supply an up-to-date xml feed, then pull each feed into the suppme © website, group it by category & ordered it by price. Well that's the basic idea, nothing that a little programming can't handle. It's very reliant on each supp shop keeping their prices up-to-date, but if the site works well then it is in their best interest to keep their xml feed up-to-date. The other thing you mentioned was people just clicking the cheapest price. This is not necessarily the case, if the price difference is say 50cents to 1$, people will pay that little bit extra if they know that the supp shop has a good rep. Would you rather save 1$ and have it arrive 2 days late or pay the extra 1$ and have it arrive in less than 24hrs. So cheapest is sometimes not the best option. Now where do we start? We would have to see what interest the supp shops have in this idea...

I've been looking for somewhere new lately and the guys at http://www.pumpednutrition.co.nz have been really helpful and have provided quick service with wicked prices if you become a member! Great blokes

Interesting first post.... Sure your not from the site? :pfft:

Mods can check if IP addy comes from Kumeu or not, where the owner of that website and the company "Pumped Nutrition Limited" lives...

[MOD EDIT: No need to post private details.]

Having this feature would also make some stores lower their prices to compete with each other.

TonyB - I'm looking for a web developer. If you're interested, or you know anyone who might be, drop me a PM.

Re the retailer comparison, the problem is that you're reliant on the retailer to make it possible, and if your purpose is to find cheap prices, that means lower profit margins for them. They may not be so enthusiastic about that. I wouldn't be! (Having said that, the model seems to work elsewhere, like PriceSpy, so who knows?)

DRWK, Android - I know Zinggaa's post looks suspicious, so checking was the first thing I did! Danny from Pumped had recently contacted me about advertising here (you'll see they're running a banner ad at the moment) and as far as I can tell, there's no link between his account and Zinggaa's. :)

There is a small possibility that he could be using two different web addresses. Anyway doesnt bother me, just sayin.

It was public domain knowledge u twat, Whois even displays his personal address in kumeu so it's not private details at all...private means private not public, your definition of private is lame, does that mean you can't display the contact email addy found on his website, yeah right

I did notice the banner add so I was thinking to myself "if there is a link between Pumped and Zinggaa we wont be told anyway".

It's obvious that Zinggaa is in some way connected to Pumped because the post appeared very close to the time the advertising started. Also it was a first post and Zinggaa has not bothered posting anywhere else. Personally I don't like deception with a fake review... But hey, that's just me. Might try them out next time I buy sups just to give them a shot.

Sorry guys - let me clarify what I meant. I'm not saying Zinggaa has no relationship to Pumped - in fact I totally agree that's what it looks like. All I'm saying is I can't prove that relationship using the admin tools available to me.

I did notice the banner add so I was thinking to myself "if there is a link between Pumped and Zinggaa we wont be told anyway".

If you're suggesting that advertisers get special treatment, I resent that. If I could have proved a link in this case I would have said so, and responded accordingly. There have been several instances where much bigger advertisers than Pumped have been "talked to" about setting up dodgy accounts here.

In fact, it's one of the founding principles of this site, and the very first paragraph of our mission statement:

NZBodybuilding.co.nz is proudly independent, and has no affiliation with any bodybuilding association, supplements company or gym. These organisations may purchase advertising on the site, but they have no influence on its content.

Hopefully that goes some way to reassuring you of our integrity here, DRWK. :P

Anyway, let's not make mountains out of molehills. Ultimately, when a company posts a fake review, it probably does them more harm than good. Call it karma, and move on!
