impressive but also stupid thats a good way to wreck your back kids dont try this at home

I totally disagree MrB. I admit I wouldnt recommend it to a novice lifter but the dynamics of this lift actually have your upper body positioned in a more upright position (similar to a front squat) because of the balancing act with the bar. This is a more efficient in terms of power distribution when squatting because the bar is centered directly over or more inline above your power base which is YOUR HIPS.

Agreed, squating without your hands requires you to be in a more upright position than normal. Which means alot less strain on your lower back.

The 200kg one arm dead isn't that impressive, but 290 no arm squat is nuts.

I worked up to 200 a while back for fun, and yes, it's a good party trick! Scary the first few times.
