Fierce Fitness MMA- Napier

Hey guys,

My name is Reg Andrews. I recently moved to Hawkes Bay and have joined a new gym called Fierce Fitness MMA. It is a mixed martial arts gym and not something I have ever engaged in. However they have a unique range of strength and fitness equipment (as well as your traditional gear)that is extremely functional and challenging and I have been attending the circuit training sessions they have there. Its improved my fitness levels and helped me with my weight lifting. If you want to be challenged then I suggest you go and see for your self. The owner Jerry Sargeant has put together a very good facility, something I have not seen before in this country.

I am no fighter but if you are then this gym is definitely for you.

Fierce Fitness in Ford Rd Onekawa? Once the home of Starr Fitness. Was a great gym with fantastic equipment and some very good powerlifters and bodybuilders also. Is the layout still the same? It would be interesting to see what it looks like now.

It's completely different - a boxing ring, full MMA cage, monkey bars, kettlebell and some sleds, basic weights etc. None of the Starr gear there anymore bar a treadmill or two.

Matt Jonson is doing some S&C training there at the mo.

So Dog is doing S&C? Haven't seen him for sometime it would be good to catch up. Will go and have a look at the gym tomorrow.... ahhh those were the days when Starr was covered in chalk and there wasn't a single SwissBall in sight :grin:

Hey the old starr gym has totally changed and for the better. Fierce Fitness is a complete facility and anyone and I mean anyone wanting to get in shape should take a look.

It is perfect for any athlete as well as any beginner. The range of classes on offer is vast. I joined 3 weeks ago and am glad I did. Fierce Fitness is something Napier has needed for a long time.
