Sugar - when and how much?

I thought I was being pretty good with my sugar, having only in recent times looking more closely at the Carb make-up of various foods.

I discovered last night to my horror, that all the carbs in Milk are sugar.

If I go through say, 3 litres every 4 days then I'm getting about 35-40g of sugar spread over each day just from milk.

Should I be worried?

Or is it to small to be of consequence....

Oops I think I just found my answer...

You may already know this, but when you look at the milk label, you see that there's a lot of sugar in milk. But lactose is a disaccharide, and has to be broken down first, which takes time. This is why the GI (glycemic index) of milk is very low.

Phew.
