High Intensity Bodyweight Exercise

Recommended Posts

Hi guy, I'm currently having to figure out the best way to rejig my program which is currently 8 days into 7.

Currently I'm doing 3 days weights, (chest/bi, back/tri, shoulders/legs) 1 day body balance (semi rest day), 3 weights (same as before) and 1 day total rest.

What i'm think of doing is: 3 days weights (same as above), 1 day body balance (semi rest day), then 2 days that use large multi joint bodyweight exercises in a circuit with no rest between exercises and short rest between sets. I'm thinking something like, press-ups, wide arm lat pull ups, bicep pulls ups, tricep dips. Followed the next day by some composite of the legs and abs/anything else I've forgotten. Then finishing with Sunday and total rest.

Any thoughts on this. Or a better way to structure a 7day program.

As a side note my nutrition during this time will be Paleo (very minor amounts of dairy, absolutely no grains or legumes). My macronutrient levels as a % total energy intake are: Protein 23.34% (162g), Fat 66.43% (204g), Carbs 9.01% (64g). On top of this i will be trialling Intermittent Fasting, and fasted training with just 10g of BCAAs to 5-15min before work outs. Fasts will be approx 16 hours, 7pm - 11am. Workout 9am-10:30am.

One final note. I'm note really looking to be a body builder. My aims are a bit more modest. I'm asking in this forums because having looked at a few places. Bodybuilding, to a degree, tend to be a bit more informed that other 'fitness enthusiasts'.
