Hi everyone,

Well, we’re racing ahead into the new year, with record numbers of users online over Christmas (normally our quietest time). It’s great that there’s so much activity happening on the forums.

What’s not so great is the number of topics that are being dragged off course by comments that belong in The Playground. Some of them are personal digs (which really don’t belong anywhere); some of them are rark-up comments and smack talk; and some of it’s just general banter.

Trouble is, it all means good topics are getting derailed. That’s frustrating for a lot of existing members, and it’s off-putting for a lot of newbies and lurkers who might otherwise contribute.

Please keep this in mind when posting, and ask yourself if your comment is on topic or if it’s a distraction.

The mods will try to keep things in line, too. We’ll be locking topics more readily, breaking a few arms where necessary, and in persistent cases, handing out suspensions.

Let’s make sure these forums are NZ’s most useful source of bodybuilding and fitness information – as well as the busiest. Cheers!

I'm bumping up this topic for the benefit of any new members who might not have seen it (Deano, Shutupandsquat) and any old members who might have forgotten it (Tom, Mr Natural, jimjim, etc...).
