Yeah G'day,

Always been a gym head, first stint in the gym when I was 12 (benched 50kg!) and then a regular cycle of a few years training and a few years off since. Now in my 40s and have been more regular with my gym work since being diagnosed with arthritis. My arthritis is in remission as long as I'm on my meds - fortunately don't have to take any steroids for it - only TNF inhibitors.

I've been consistent with going to the gym for the last year - and in May 2010 finally discovered the "body building diet" of 5 to 6 meals a day (how could I have missed it for so long?), which has enabled me to get my body fat from 24% down to just over 12% (measured using calipers - single site of iliac crest).

However for the last couple of months my fat loss has plateaued. I really want to get it to 10% as now and then I can glimpse my abs (if I hold my head at the right angle in the light of a full moon reflecting on a tepid mosquito pool) and it is like they are teasing me that it wouldn't take much to get them out.

So I've joined up in an attempt to get some more information on how I can get there. I've already been encouraged by some of the stuff I've read on the forum.

By the way, that really isn't me in the avatar pic

I'm originally from Taranaki - currently working in Bangkok

Hahaha! Don't worry - you'll get better at find good lighting conditions. Practise makes perfect, and bodybuilders practise that all the time. :pfft:

Some people on here would say that you are unfortunate not to be taking steriods for it!
