I think if you're being strict about following the Paleo diet you're supposed to cut out Dairy products too.

I've mostly cut mine out, however have 1/2 cup of Bio Farm Yoghurt (organic/unsweetened), and 10g of cheese each day.

A good replacement for Cream/milk in your protein shake is Coconut Cream. Taste great and you get loads of good fats.

PI, not following it strictly coz I don't really have that much dairy anyway. Meh cheese is too expensive, I got some cottage cheese.

Thanks for that. I find it easier to digest. Whenever I eat any grains or tubers man my digestion is not great :(

My partner and I have just started on a Paleo diet.

From what I've seen, people seem to put way more emphasis on meat than the books I've read do!

My understand is:

LOTS of veges (as in, eat as much as you can stomach/afford)

A ton of eggs (I'm not sure how many is considered 'bad' for you anymore!)

Loads of coconut (used as oil and a milk replacement)

A decent amount of meat (maybe 4 times a week)

No grains or dairy (but apparently some people get away with whole cream or yoghurt).

I've only been on the Paleo for about 2 weeks now. I'm going to be very strict (minus the small amount of dairy) for a month and then just out of curiosity add some grain to a meal and see how i feel after that.

I'll also be combining the Paleo Diet with Intermittent Fasting to get an idea of how that works too. I'm hoping that the two will work together quite well.

We shall see. I'll keep you posted.

p.s. The thing i love most about the paleo diet... I don't get hungry. Loads of veg and moderate fat with high protein is a really satiating diet. You shouldn't have to worry about feeling hungry all the time.
